Mamto2boys · 17/06/2022 15:21

Haven't posted in a little while, scan date 12th April, rang up on Tuesday, not for an update regarding my case but to double check they received the extra info I sent it.

Bloke on the phone was absolutely great would you believe! Even decided to take it upon himself to see where they were at with claims and if i had a decision yet (wasn't was I had rang up for), anyways he told me that next week they would be working on claims up until the 11th of April, but some slip through the cracks and get a response sooner so fingers crossed I hear something soon🤞

Twinmummyanda7yearold · 17/06/2022 15:49

@Mamto2boys ooo that would be good if so as I'm April 12th too, good luck 🤞🏼😊

doadeer · 17/06/2022 16:11

They seem to tell everyone different weeks don't they. It's very confusing

Mamto2boys · 17/06/2022 16:16

@Twinmummyanda7yearold good luck also, think there's a few of us with the same scan date here, suppose we will have to keep eachother updated!

Had my letter today what your entitled to from 11.02.2022 to 11.05.2027 does this mean it has been awarded for 5 years 3 months? Confused

NoWordForFluffy · 18/06/2022 11:33

Yes, that's right, @Indr.

Indr · 18/06/2022 12:30

@NoWordForFluffy thank you thought it would be 5 years not with extra months so wanted to check

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 19/06/2022 08:15

Has anybody ever sent extra evidence after their initial claim?

Mamto2boys · 19/06/2022 09:37

@Ilovechocolatetoomuch yes I did, I sent in extra evidence around 7 weeks after I sent back my claim, rhey have received it and all is good.

What did you send with the evidence?

I did our first time around

NoWordForFluffy · 19/06/2022 10:42

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 19/06/2022 10:00

What did you send with the evidence?

I sent some recently. I did a covering letter with DS' name, DoB and their ref, and also put those details on the evidence.

Mamto2boys · 19/06/2022 11:32

@Ilovechocolatetoomuch, I sent in a cover letter explaining why I was sending in extra evidence and explanations of said evidence. On each piece of paper I sent in, I wrote my child's name & DOB, reference number, and my NI number just incase.

I sent it 1st class signed but I rang a little over a week later just to be sure they had put it with my file as I received a letter in the meantime saying "sorry it had been 8 weeks with no decision" and i was worried it hadn't been added with the rest aha, the bloke had confirmed all is good and that it had been added to my file so there was no problems there.

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 19/06/2022 12:49

Thank you, I shall do that 🙂

gemma1988 · 19/06/2022 21:31

Good luck to everyone this week hopefully first week in April claims will be looked at. I definitely think mine will be a no but I will try a MR.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/06/2022 22:01

I've seen awards up to about 7/8 April this weekend, so fingers crossed next week is the week for the 12 April gang!

Have you? I've seen a few have had texts this weekend upto 4th April. Hoping I'll have heard something by the end of the week!

NoWordForFluffy · 19/06/2022 22:31

Yes, but comments on other people's posts, not main posts. I find that page doesn't show me the posts in order, annoyingly.

I really do think they need a better system to stop people queue-jumping though (it's not their fault, but clearly there are glitches sometimes).

SickKid · 19/06/2022 22:34

@NoWordForFluffy 100% agree! It looks like some people are still waiting from March- must be so frustrating for them seeing people get awarded from the following month! Can see me being one of them (left behind that is) 😡

LuckymrsH · 20/06/2022 06:27

I’ve been following this thread for weeks it’s kept me sane :) finally got awarded for coc scan date 15th of feb. I’m not sure of the award yet but I think it’s from low to middle rate care as I sent it my boys autism diagnosis. We already had low mobility. I hope this helps someone else and good luck everyone!

Hopeful110 · 20/06/2022 07:34

@SickKid @NoWordForFluffy yeah I agree! I'm still waiting for a decision from a DM and my claim for my daughter was scanned on 23rd March! Even when I rang last week he said decision maker had our claim from 13th June, so a week today and hopefully an answer by end of this week!! Then I have to send in her birth certificate (before any payment is made I assume too) so I'm looking at another 3-4 weeks before I get any kind of financial help from them 🥺

Hopeful110 · 20/06/2022 07:35

@SickKid what was your scan date?
