Hello. Just thought it might be helpful for people with applications currently being processed to know my dla application took exactly 12 weeks. It was received 12 May 22 and I received back pay today. Wishing everyone the best of luck with their dla applications as I know it can be a long and anxious wait for a decision to be made.

Hi my scan date is 20th of may has anyone on here heard back around these times this is my 11th week?

Als2017 · 04/08/2022 13:19

Well I rang them about my universal credit backdate and they said it’s with a decision maker and can’t tell me anything

Als2017 · 04/08/2022 13:42

Which I asked for it to be backdated since 22 July!
it went to a dm 3 days ago
still nothing

Als2017 · 07/08/2022 17:10

Well I made a complaint to gov about the backdate for uc as I haven’t heard anything just that it’s with a dm
but I asked on 22nd July for it to be backdated from March.

Ssabb90 · 07/08/2022 18:15

Universal c has been the worse to deal with so far, I have been waiting since the 6th July, received a letter on Friday which basically said they have accepted my reason for a late claim/ backdate. Nothing else not how much I’ll be getting or when I’ll be getting anything. Rung them and they have requested for someone to message on my journal as the operator on the phone couldn’t tell me anything. They don’t have access to what the decision is until my payments are adjusted x

Als2017 · 08/08/2022 11:01

I would make complaints online to gov x

Als2017 · 08/08/2022 11:03

And you will get what your entitled to from dla backdated
so if you get highest amount dla you’ll get the universal credit rate at 414
plus £168 carers from the date you was awarded.
x

Kirstyann89 · 08/08/2022 11:51

Does anyone know how long after the decision letter from uc it will take for back payment? Already put a complaint in

Staceygrace10 · 08/08/2022 12:06

I just asked them a couple times on my journal they replied saying it was sorted and going in my bank 2 days later

Ssabb90 · 08/08/2022 12:33

I received a letter today saying how much the owe me, but from what Iv gathered after that you get a payment within 5 working days x

Kirstyann89 · 08/08/2022 13:05

I only got the letter today which one shall I send a message to payments or appointments?

Als2017 · 08/08/2022 13:06

They’re not even responding on my uc !

Als2017 · 08/08/2022 13:38

i Rang them as no one responds on my uc they said I should hear by sat

Ssabb90 · 08/08/2022 15:29

They paid me two hours after posting the breakdown letter on my journal which was a surprise. If you do it as a appointments they look faster x

Kirstyann89 · 08/08/2022 15:34

I've put it as a appointment I've only got the letter to say they have accepted my change in circumstances but that's all they haven't said how much they owe me they just seem to ignore people

Als2017 · 08/08/2022 16:53

Hello, so I just got in my journal that they have accepted the backdate from 14th March 22
and it was considered late but I journaled back to say well I found out 12 weeks later so not much I could do… hasn’t said how much backdate I’ll get though

Lc27 · 08/08/2022 23:19

Hi ladies , forst time poster x
I sent off my sons dla claim paperwork and it was received on 19th May. I phoned Monday and they said it was with the decision maker . I'm really worried there throw his claim out because I literally have nothing on paperwork as evidence . He does have a support worker , gp , senco, we're waiting on assessments from community peds , the school nurse is now involved , we're waiting on assessments from camhs cafcas . I just don't have anything on paperwork and his claim started on 22nd April. What's my chances

shellie1986 · 10/08/2022 03:53

Sorry it was going to be with the decision maker this week and they will contact me by text messege was there words

Als2017 · 10/08/2022 05:45

No news is always good news I had no evidence to back me up except the school if they even called them
