Dla waiting times march 2022

Anyone waiting for a decision for march guys .. I am so stressed about the outcome it would mean a great deal to my DD to get this award.

So I’m waiting on my backdate d payment from dla,

so when I got the form it was stated 21st March, so 17 weeks is that what they back date?

I'm not sure how it works. Mine was scanned 28th April but it was backdated to 24th March. That was when I rung them to ask for a form. I hope this helps x

Yes, so you get backdated from the start date on the phone, it’s usually the same date you called and asked for the dla pack, you then get 4 weeks to fill it but those 4 weeks are covered when you are backdated x

Okay thank you so I’m looking at 17 weeks, they made the decision Thursday and was awarded that day just gone so just waiting on the backdated payment x

I’ve also put in my journal about uc, and I’m paying bedroom tax which I believe shouldn’t be paid now he’s getting dla?
but they haven’t responded at all about me backdating uc ? X

Not sure about bedroom tax but I have heard something along them lines before, Uc have been terrible I didn’t get a reply till a week later and I still haven’t had a decision made it’s been 2 weeks since they applied for a back date x

I waited 2 weeks and rang them and the woman on the phone said write a note on your journal, put it as an appointment and say you want to request a case manager to look at your account as you have updated your circumstances due to receiving dla from x date and want to request it being backdated to x date and they'll sort it within 48 hours. I did it on Thursday and got 2 letters today saying they've granted the carers and disabled child elements from the start of the dla claim. No idea when I'll get the backdated amount but they've definitely sorted it

Uc took two weeks to sort mine just keep writing a note in your journal and eventually they will tell you

Hi just an update as I previously asked questions.. sent my letter 28th june I received a letter today saying the had received it however there letter was dated the 8th July and it can take upto 6 weeks. I’m assuming it’s obviously going to take a lot longer than the state which is frustrating

Hi just wanted to give everyone a quick update app was 16 March . I received a letter last Tuesday saying I'd been appointed as the person dealing with my sons claim and the rules etc, I then rang on Wednesday and asked for an update to be told my son had been awarded Mrc and lrm. Payment went into my account on Friday. A long 18 weeks but glad to finally be able to not have the anxiety of waiting on the post being delivered every day. I hope those still waiting get this much needed help soon

Well I have left updates in my uc, they asked why my son needs his own room about the bedroom tax. But says online I shouldn’t be paying if receiving dla.
they haven’t said anything about back dated payment though!
but I did get my sons dla back date this morning x

Still not heard anything from UC, taking there sweet time with my request😂

I was awarded Thursday and got back dated last night in the night x

New here so please bare with me.

I have a 2 year old with very complex needs and I sent off forms to DLA as I was suggested to do so by my health visitor, early support worker and therapist so I did.

I have my forms scanned on 12th May 2022 and just wondering I'd any body has any news for their claim for on or around this date?

I'm currently learning makaton but my daughter is very much in need of new equipment which is why this would help me out as I only work part-time.

@ProudMomJustTryingHerBest join the Facebook group “dla for children advice and support” there’s lots of people on there in the same situation as all of us. From what I’ve seen they’re currently working up to the 10th of may but it depends on the decision maker you get over all as some people from June/July have been awarded already. Good luck to you and hope your daughter gets what she deserves x

Hi, thank you for your reply. I don't have FB unfortunately. Finding it really tough at the moment and although I don't expect to get anything for my daughter as she's only 2 just to get an answer soon would be nice but I can imagine it's a very busy time.
