Dla waiting times march 2022

Anyone waiting for a decision for march guys .. I am so stressed about the outcome it would mean a great deal to my DD to get this award.

Hi I'm in tax credits and I renewed yesterday and also said about my son being awarded dla and said the start date and I have just had a text from hmrc saying ty for my renewal processing may take up to 8 weeks I hope that doesn't include the back pay but to be honest i have no idea. I also don't understand y uc r taking so long to sort your back pay out it's not fair on any of u especially after waiting all these weeks for dla x

I meant to say I'm on tax credts. Has anyone had any news? I really hope u have x

Debspurs Leanne tax credits I believe they sorted pretty quickly if I remember her post on here correctly, so I don’t know why they are taking so long , I’ve not had a response in my journal yet 😳, it’s a joke tbh x

Not had a response either, going to make a complaint this afternoon if no one answers. It doesn’t take over a week to give an update lol.

I don’t blame you it’s awful , we’ve all waited weeks to be awarded DLA for our children and have to wait again 😳😳, it’s so frustrating I’m unable to work as I need to be at home for my daughter and as a single parent it’s so difficult atm x

I’m in the exact same position as you, single parent, and let’s be honest it’s hard especially with a child with additional needs🤦🏽‍♀️ They’re honestly a joke, they’d already have their money back if we owed them😂

Totally agree kc1999 UC over payed me last year I questioned them about it and was told it was correct then the following month told I was over payed so had to pay it back , it’s a bloody joke x

I’ve worked all my life and now when I need this help they question everything so frustrating 😡

Just had this from UC nothing on it re back pay so I’ve written in journal again 😞and I can’t see how I can check it , nothing on my payment list kc1999

Kc1999x just had another message in journal and my back pay going in bank this Friday 😊😊keep on at them over £1000 they owe me xx

Oh that’s brilliant that they’ve sorted it! I messaged this morning give it a couple of hours and I’ll be at them again, normally I’d let it be but they owe me about the same from what I’ve worked out and it’ll come in handy for the 6 weeks holiday as my son has no support now for 6 weeks while he’s off nursery🤦🏽‍♀️

Oh my, I just had a message back similar to yours saying to decision has been made yet. And they will notify me once one has been made 😳🙃

Hi all, once Dla is in place what payments can I asked to be back dated? I’m on uc btw, would it be the child element if they have extra needs? just confused as ppl are asking for back payment on uc when they first received your call for the Dla pack.

@jayce1999 So you will receive disabled child element of 132 for LRC&MRC, 414-for HRC, you can then claim carers element also which is 168 if you get MRC&HRC. After you’ve done all the changes make sure you do it from your award date then write in your journal you would like it backdated to the date of the award, they’ll then send it to a decision maker because it’s outside of the assessment period, but for obvious reasons you couldn’t report it on time because you’ve only just been awarded- if that’s any help and makes sense lol x

I updated tax credits regarding my son getting dla I got no backpayment but money has gone up

I’m unsure how tax credits work, but I’m pretty sure I read on that Facebook group that they can back date to the award date🤷🏽‍♀️
