Debspurs · 06/07/2022 14:55

I'm a bit worried now as when I rung up I said that the school were going to get.my son tested for autism again and put an ehcp in place I hope that doesn't hold.up my claim as its school holidays soon and the school won't have it sorted by then and I can't wait till they go back

1977s · 06/07/2022 14:56

Thankyou Debspurs it’s only taken 15 weeks and yes a big relief

1977s · 06/07/2022 14:58

Debspurs just keep phoning I’ve been on the phone every day , it shouldn’t effect decisions as I’ve add things to my claim fingers crossed for you all

Leanne12321 · 06/07/2022 15:00

Ssabb90 · 06/07/2022 15:04

Omg I’m doing a change of circumstance as if it’s a 20 week wait 😳

Ssabb90 · 06/07/2022 15:05

Oh myyyyy that’s amazing news I am so so happy for you! I became really invested lol was started to feel so angry for you!! Now try and put your feet up and relax xx

1977s · 06/07/2022 16:08

Thankyou everyone I’m really happy 😊it’s going to help me and my daughter, hopefully payment won’t be long , just waiting to see if universal credit payment changes now aswell x

Kc1999x · 06/07/2022 16:12

Congratulations I seen you was waiting for a long time! Also if you do your change of circumstances on universal credit you’ll get the high disability pay for a child on it, you can also get the carers element on it and it should be added to your next payment, also make sure you put in your journal you would like it backdated to when your daughters claim would of started then it will go to the decision maker for universal credit who will then issue the back pay, but that may take a couple of weeks aswell.

1977s · 06/07/2022 16:13

I don’t know if anyone else is on universal credit but apparently from the 14th July to the end of July if you qualify the first cost of living payment will be made 😊😊

1977s · 06/07/2022 16:15

Thankyou kc I will make sure I check I’ve done it right

Kc1999x · 06/07/2022 16:20

I only know this from another group, just after you’ve done all the changes just go in the journal and say you would like it backdated to the date of your daughters award and you’ll get a nice back pay from them also x

1977s · 06/07/2022 16:25

Just had message on universal credit journal they’ve confirmed my daughter is getting high rate DLA and it’s been passed to DM to get money backdated , good day after all

Kc1999x · 06/07/2022 16:39

how brilliant! Once your daughters better she will be able to have a well deserved treat and yourself! Wish you all the best x

Leanne12321 · 06/07/2022 19:30

I'm not on universal credit but might move iver to it!

MummyofPPH · 06/07/2022 20:37

I've rung today it's been with a decision maker for 4 weeks so they finally looked into it and it's been sat in a pile of a decision maker who's been on leave for a few weeks now. They are transferring the case over to another dm so I'm probably gonna be waiting weeks again and I'm already at nearly 14 weeks 😭 mines 8th April

1977s · 06/07/2022 21:03

MummyofPPH keep phoning everyday , I only got my decision today and been waiting 15 weeks day you need it looked into asap

Polly421 · 06/07/2022 21:24

@1977 anyone receiving a disability benefit. Will at some point in September receive £150 cost of living payment. As long as they qualified for benefit on 25th of May.

@1977s sorry didn’t tag you right on my post above.

Leanne12321 · 06/07/2022 22:27

Is that payment per house or per person 🤔 I know someone said in here that both her children have dla

Leanne12321 · 06/07/2022 22:28

Sorry I mean per person as in if 2 people in that gouse get dla will they both get 150 or is it just 150 per household

Polly421 · 06/07/2022 23:31

I have one daughter who gets DLA and a son who gets the Scottish child disability and was told it’s per claim not house.
