New DLA wait times 2022

Iv made this new one as the thread I was following along with others has now been closed mine was scanned on the 18th Feb and still awaiting decision, I'm currently been waiting 40 mins on phone to DLA trying to get a update

Hi guys,
Scan date march 18th. Anyone heard anything for this date yet. I am on nearly 9 weeks now x

Mine was also scanned 18th of March . It’s taking so long . Don’t think it’s even with a case manager yet

after Iv been keeping eye on this thread is thought id let people now time frames my application was received on 8th March I rung today and been told they approved it on the 13th May ..xx

Just been reading the threads can I ask what you mean by scanned date? My form was received 15th March so 9 weeks today or does it take longer from the received date to be scanned? Thank you

@Indr yes just when they received it back, so mine was sent on March 10th but received back and scanned onto the system march 11th so the wait for us start march 11th.

Hopefully shouldn’t be much longer for you then

Thank you for confirming that yes sent mine in 14th March and was received 15th so I am 9 weeks today so hopefully not to much longer

Hey, iv been following this thread my applications was scanned March 10th hopefully not much longer to wait although by looking at this some of the same dates have gone through so may just ring them tomorrow and see where we are at with it. Its crazy how long it takes and my anxiety is going through the roof with all the waiting lol

Hi everyone been checking in on thread as I’d been waiting since 9th March . Just called them today and awarded Hrc and lrm. Can anyone confirm if universal credit changes at all or does dla get included in universal credit. Not sure myself.
also wondering if anyone with lrm had managed to get M.R to hrm. It is extremely stressful and difficult going out anywhere with son (5yo with asd) public transport is a nightmare with him tia

It was the waiting and not hearing that botherd me too haha . I rung today took about 40 mins to get through . She was nice enough aswell I was worried if have a rude one after reading a lot of reply’s here .

i must’ve got a bad one, i asked about the mandatory reconsideration and she snapped at me “wait until your pack comes it’ll tell you in there “ just gave attitude and wouldn’t answer any questions . Don’t fancy waiting best part of an hour to get through again if it’s just the same number to ring them about it

That's it ringing them and getting someone rude on the other end puts me off so I haven't bothered trying yet so I'll give it a go and fingers crossed get a nice person on the other end

dla isn’t included in uc as its classed as money for your child so they can’t touch it also for high rate you get and extra £414 child disability element and £160 extra for carer element if you get mid or high. After making the changes on your online account make sure you ask for both to be backdated to the day you have been awarded dla from and you should get a it backdated if you explain you couldn’t tell them before as you have been waiting for a desicion. Hope this helps

How long dose it take for UC to update hold disability element & carer element and dose this effect the Benifit cap as I have just updated my UC @Wilzo235

That what I want to know as I updated them yesterday about my son getting dla and starting caring for him and the disability but don’t know how long it will take for them to do the back payment and updated my account @Bluemum87 @Wilzo235

So you end up exempt from the benefit cap. I’m in the same boat as yous with the backdate only changed mine last week. Ive done my research and what I can gather by your next payment the extra elements should be added but the backdated money can take anywhere between 3 weeks to 3 months they don’t seem to be in any hurry with paying it

Phoned up first thing this morning, my palms are still sweaty!!!
Another 2 week wait for me. They received my forms on the 15th March. I know a few forms have started coming to the surface around that date. But the lady was nice enough. But another 2 weeks wait. Hopefully it's a little sooner but my god isn't it anxious!

Hi. We get middle rate care DLA but DS' needs seem to be increasing as he gets older, partly due to school related stress. Is it worth applying for a reassessment?

Hi guys, me again, just want to ask something that maybe not related but I can't think of what else at all it could be, I got an email today and I've googled the absolute crap out of it and I cant work out at all of its a legit email or not and if it is, I don't know what it's for I'm so confused?! Only thing that came to mind is this DLA I'm waiting to hear back from but it's far far far to soon for a response so I'm confused. Anyone know anything?

Iv just rang them mine was scanned March 10th said they are still in the que to be looked at but shouldn't be to much longer as the turn around is around 10weeks it's 10weeks tomorrow for me so hopefully not to much more waitng

I didn't think dla emailed thought it was just through post and text message

Don't open that it looks like spam/virus. "Remittance" isn't a DLA thing

I think there all saying different I was told 9 week turn around and I’m 9 weeks Friday . Mine not been look at yet
