Hi, probably mentioned before but am a single mum (although now got a lovely boyfriend - but somehow still think of myself as a "single mum"), will be 40 in June (not that I am counting).
Work part-time for the same company for 20 years - 2 days in the office and 2 days at home.
Got 3 beautiful children - DD1 nearly 14 (boy, do I know that!!!), tall as me, slimmer than me, bigger boobs than me - too much information?
DS1 - 9 - middle child but only boy (for those who watched Middle Child Syndrome). Gorgeous, adorable, lively, boisterous - typical boy.
DS2 - just turned 5 - Sotos Syndrome - nearly as tall as her elder brother, nearly same size shoe - very, very tall for her age (well, she is not as tall as others with the same condition but then I am only 5'4" and her dad is only 5'8" - if we were both taller, she would be a lot taller than her peers).
Goes to mainstream school, with 1:1 help. Is sociable, outgoing, friendly, lovable, adorable. Few issues (have been there since birth) like global delayed development but wouldn't change her for the world. Has had lots of help and support through the years from various therapists(since before the diagnosis) but all I wish is for her (well, all my children actually) to be the "best" she can (although her "best" may not be the accepted norm).
