I've never actually used OTBT so don't know about the cliqueyness, but my point was it doesn't really make any difference - if you have a separate section for people to post about things which disappear after 30 days, and they have to go to a different section to post there, what difference does it make in real terms whether it's OTBT or SN Chat?

SN Chat is signposted so that SN parents who are new to the board will look at it.

justabout - I do see your point re google searches and privacy. I get frustrated cos I feel I can't comment on the post 16+ phase of things lest I compromise privacy, yet my experience in that area is hard won. The joys of getting a supported living placement eclipse that of the statementing process for instance.

It's my hope a SN chat forum where stuff is erased after 30 days will help lots of people entering the youth/young adults SN arena.
