Probably waiting for everyone else to Wink.

So how's your week been Wet?

Ours has been good. We were away last weekend at my DH's parents. We had a great time. The DCs loved it as did we. DH and I got time to ourselves as well has having fun time with DCs and great food we didn't need to cook. Bliss Grin.

Then DCs settled back into school well on Wednesday. Only 2-and-a-half weeks of it left in Scotland. Guess I'd better start planning some outings!

2old2beamum · 08/06/2012 18:20

Too knackered, 1/2term, crap week and all DC'sgrumpy and snotty. Now you know.

creatovator · 08/06/2012 18:22

Sounds awful 2old. Have some Wine and chocolate.

WetAugust · 08/06/2012 18:23

Boring. If this is a taste of what what retirement in Dec will be like - they can stuff it.

Wet - every bloody day I've got soaked.

Off to the Isles of Scily tomorrow - if the boat is sailing, which it wasn't on Thursday due to the storms and was only running a partial timetable today.

So early start to tomorrow morning. Last year I went on my own. This year I am going with my ExH's ExW. Should be interesting explaining to folk why we are both Mrs X.

Retirement needn't be boring. My MIL is just as busy now, but with things she likes doing.

Scily - great. Sounds like a more fun time ahead then Smile.

insanityscratching · 08/06/2012 18:43

Hello all. Sounds rough 2old. Glad you had a good week creato sounds like we had the same sort of week wet
Really quiet week here in fact thinking of looking for a job as life seems a bit too easy at present and I'm bored.
Dd's boyfriend got a confirmed cancer dx on Thursday so supporting dd who has taken it harder than boyfriend. Treated them to a weekend away as he is in for the op on monday.
Should be packing for Isle of Wight but not yet got round to it Hmm

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 18:46

Because it is half term and Friday doesn't apply!?

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 18:47

Oh, sorry to hear your news insanity. That's rough!

insanityscratching · 08/06/2012 18:50

It's testicular so one of the "better" ones to have so feeling hopeful. NHS has been brilliant seen dx'd and in for the op within a fortnight. Have a sneaky feeling he's my future son in law Wink so need to get him better because he's a good one and worth keeping hold of IMO.

Tooloudhere · 08/06/2012 18:57

Can I say hi, I have been dipping in and out of mnsn for a while mainly lurking but occasionally posting.

moosemama · 08/06/2012 19:02

I thought about starting it, but then remembered that last time I tried it was actually Thursday, cue much Blush.

Wet, hope your trip goes ahead. You sound very civilised going away with your ex's exW. Just tell everyone you are married to each other - that'll raise a few eyebrows.

Sorry to hear that Insanity - hope all goes well with the op. Good to hear the NHS is doing something right for a change.

You do know you should never say life is easy or boring don't you? Asking for trouble that is. Wink

moosemama · 08/06/2012 19:03

Cross posted. Hello and welcome to the Friday night thread Tooloud. Smile

creatovator · 08/06/2012 19:03

Insanity Hope everything goes well.

Hi Star and Tooloud

creatovator · 08/06/2012 19:05

Moose just been reading your thread. Didn't have anything to add, but want to say I'm thinking about you.

hazeyjane · 08/06/2012 19:05

is it friday??!!!

creatovator · 08/06/2012 19:06

All day Hazey and twice as much after 6pm.

Tooloudhere · 08/06/2012 19:10

It certainly doesn't feel like Friday here, half term and too many children at home plus weird bank holidays and I have no clue what day it is.

We have had a week with no appointments which hardly ever happens, it wasn't planned but means I didn't have to cart the other children with us which always good.

moosemama · 08/06/2012 19:10

Thanks Creatovator. Smile

Eurgh, I need about a mountain of chocolate this evening.

moosemama · 08/06/2012 19:11

Nice to know it's not just me who doesn't have a clue what day it is.

Ineedalife · 08/06/2012 19:12

Hi all, has anyone gone rusty yet this week?

Have had a mixed week here, many of you probably saw my moaning thread the other day.

Dd3 has been singing various songs from Oliver all day and I am going to throttle her in a minuteShock.
She is a really happy bunny today though because for some insane reason I bought her the new playmobil swimming pool today which she is playing with , In my lounge on the only decent carpet I posessHmm.

wet how funny going away with your ex's exGrin.

insanity hope everything goes ok for your future SIL.

Hi tooloud and everyone else.

WetAugust · 08/06/2012 19:13

Hope the op goes well for him. A young chap I worked with had the same dx and that was at least 15 years ago. He's fine and has 2 kids.

Hi all - still a bit rubbish at chatting generally. Really sorry to hear about the bad weeks, and the diagnosis - hope it is shortlived trouble. Managed to start a thread about dla refusal and p*iss loads of people off - really not good at explaining myself. Ds had a good day after a bad start (upset over a broken favourite stick) - we met up with friends and all the boys charged around a lot. That's more thana I've ever posted on this thread! As you were.

dietstartstmoz · 08/06/2012 19:19

Goodevening all. Been following the threads this week but not posted much. We have all been off work/school this week and its been ok despite the weather. DH and i escaped the kids for a while which was nice. Not done much, pottered at home, boys done lots of lego. The best thing has been DS2's bowels have 'calmed down'. He is nearly 5 with asd and in the past 7 days he has stopped pooing 4/5 times a day and finally is starting to have some pattern (vague) to his bowel movements. Amazing what makes you happy isnt it?! Fingers crossed it continues (holds breath with anticipation)......

WetAugust · 08/06/2012 19:19

I don't think the DLA thread pissed anyone off. I think it's just part of the acceptance process that starts with 'beneffts like DLA are not for us', 'let's not air our dity laundry in public' 'we are not worthy' 'we don't warrant extra help because...' etc.

All of which went through my mind - once.

Now I feel very differently. They fucked him up so they'll pay and they can go on paying.
