Mon 11th 7lb 11oz Grin

Middle dd 45 mins no time for pain relief and totally fractured my coxics! Ambulance came much to my disgust and ranting and the contraction I had whilst yelling put me back in the house made me grip the side of the trolley and break the guard off it Blush

DS 6 weeks prem despite scans giving hospital due date the correct one they went by DOH! Had CS ranted pulled out catheter myself less than 24 hrs later and walked out. Midwife came on home visit and said "my he has no tread on his feet and no fingerprints he is def 6 to 7 weeks prem. DS never opened his eyes till MY due date Grin

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 21:42

DH Are you in the fingers up fanjos industry?

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 21:43

Sometimes I can just about reach if I bear down, but usually. It's just lost!!!

insanityscratching · 08/06/2012 21:50

Suspect that when I had a sweep and midwife said she could stroke dd's head it prompted dd to go on a walk round the block as she didn't put in an appearance for days afterwards.

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 21:57

I got BH in my bum though. Pretty annoying!

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 21:57

Very achey pelvis and thighs and back!

insanityscratching · 08/06/2012 21:59

Ooh things might be happening I'm going to miss a birth thread though if it happens tomorrowSad

WetAugust · 08/06/2012 22:03

Me too Sad

Look Star

Stop messing about. you've got 2 choices: you either deliver this baby before 6am tomorrow morning or you hang on until next Saturday evening when I'm back from me hols. Insanity and I will not be deprived of the asteroid arrival thraed.

insanityscratching · 08/06/2012 22:14

That's it Wet you tell her Grin and I'll back you up cos I think she can be a bit scary when crossed. Ask some of her watchers Wink

WetAugust · 08/06/2012 22:26

I know she's scary Insanity, but I shall have 28 miles of Atlantic Ocean between me and her in a few hours time - which has made me incredibly brave Grin

Where are you going to hide?

DameHermione · 08/06/2012 22:33

I am in the cervix furtling department.

I also get very excited when someone is. Ahem. Well..... 'unconventional'. I do a secret celebratory dance inside.

Youvhave that baby when you are good and ready. Whatever way suits you best. And bollocks to the system.

OP posts:
StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 22:57

I'm not scary. I have to try remember that Mws are usually stuck in an unfriendly system and trying to do the best they can (I heard that bullying was rife too), but you know, I lost my patience with the 'system' long ago.

And I probably can't help being brusque having dealt with responsibility-dodging idiots with their own agendas and BS. When you already have the 'right' to something and know it, why beg and get cross about it? Just agree to do whatever they say but then do it the way you intended to all along.

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 23:03

I don't think I'm that unconventional tbh. But it seems to be horrifying the Mws that I don't want ANY internals, want to suck on gas and air IN BETWEEN contractions rather than during, and deliver the placenta in the pool before the cord is cut and deliver the baby myself.

This is all very dangerous according to the midwives, despite it being how I laboured last time. Of course anything that looks a bit dodgy at the time I woukd be very grateful for an improved plan, but for now, this is how it's gonna be.

appropriatelyemployed · 08/06/2012 23:10

I can't believe how close you are to giving birth! You are always such a constant sense of support and you have so much on your plate!

moosemama · 08/06/2012 23:18

You are flippin' scary Star. Personally I'm proper terrified of you!

Am very excited by your BH and achey thighs and back though - are we going to have a MNSN live birthing thread then?

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 23:19

Smile Thank you.

(I'm not sure I'm not just procrastinating! Grin)

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 23:20

Nah, you SN people need your sleep to badly to keep me company on a night labour most probably!

moosemama · 08/06/2012 23:24

Do you tend to labour at night then Star?

I thought I did, but dd (no 3) was an afternoon baby, so you never can tell.

If you are just starting to niggle now, we could all with you for a live MN birth over breakfast. Grin
