Just about to go and eat but thought I'd start us off.

Not a good few days - DBoyfriend was rushed into hospital last night with a severe kidney infection. I know he's in the best place but I usually chat to him at night on Facebook, so I'm lonely, first night we've not done so in 6 months :(

Uni got VERY stressful, but has calmed down now.

And I got cuddles from friend's 8mo DS, and got to take him to softplay. Was good fun - although tricky for us to climb in with him. I remember it being so much easier. He has an obsession with my glasses now. Oh, and trying to eat my acrylic nails...

Hope everyone is OK :)

Shameless joining of thread. I always miss the first few pages as I'm out with DD and DS2 at gymnastics, so sorry I've not read it all.....on second glass of wine...... Pours one for you all, it's a good one.

Be careful guys, mixing drinks and all that. Champagne & wine...gin was mentioned I'm sure.

DS2 on way home from gymnastics said he could be in the Paralympics. Think he quite likes the idea.

I'm off to bed. Can't believe I'm bailing out at 9pm! Life is so Rock'n'roll!! Smile

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 04/05/2012 21:10

night sally, enjoy the flashy new car Smile

2old2beamum · 04/05/2012 21:13

Hi all have not quite got the protocol of Friday night threads but have come to the conclusion you are all mad (my type of people) maybe we have to be to survive.
Triggles DD thinks on your lines do not encourage her.
Sallybear your mobility car will be a lifeline I found the people who visited so helpful. We have 2 DC's on high mobility but we only lose 1 DLA mobility rate Confused and also adapted the car for our eldest 3 on low rate mobility. We were amazed.
Galena are you delivering Wine to Norfolk yes please! BTW you have the same name as my homegrown DD but an i not e.
All you lovely mums have a good unsnotty and well w/e.

moosemama · 04/05/2012 21:14

Don't worry about it Hazey - I'd much rather be reading your lovely news than my miserable drivel.

Ellen, I don't really know much about it to be honest. I think it's mostly just regular monitoring, but there are some prophylaxis type treatments to some extent - I think. Confused I need to do some more reading really, am a bit bunny in the headlights about it all at the moment - either that or ostrich in the sand!

..... and I still don't have any chocolate!

Dh took the dcs up to bed over an hour ago now and hasn't come back down - I think he's hiding from my wrath! Grin

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 04/05/2012 21:21

sorry to hear your news moose, hope they sort something out for you quickly.

LollipopViolet · 04/05/2012 21:32

That's great, lollipop. I hope he's on the mend.

LollipopViolet · 04/05/2012 21:35

Well he still appears to be up for our day out on Sunday Hmm Not sure it's wise, but hey, I'm just glad he's back home :)

Back from park. Only made it with DS. DD said she was "too tired", but isn't asleep yet Hmm, so DH stayed home with her.

Imogen glad you had a better day today.

Hazey well done to your ds. Champers definitely due there.... and to everyone else.

Moose well done on the meeting at school.

creatovator · 04/05/2012 21:56

Moose chocolate is a medicine as it creates endorphins Grin

moosemama · 04/05/2012 22:01

Thanks Ninja, doubt anything will happen quickly - it is the NHS after all. Hmm Not to mention I need to contact them with the new/additional information first and there's no point in trying that on a bank holiday weekend.

Good to hear DBF has been discharged Lollipop. Kidney infections can be really nasty, I remember having hallucinations with one of mine.

moosemama · 04/05/2012 22:04

Good point creatovator. Too late for the shop now though.

Dh is tiptoeing around me now, hoping I will just let it all pass - ha, fat chance! Wink Grin

hazeyjane · 04/05/2012 22:14

Oh dear ds has started coughing, that is my cue to go and sit up with him for a bit.

Sending you some virtual chocolate.

LollipopViolet · 05/05/2012 14:29

DBF back in hospital - can't keep anything down :(

I think I've reached breaking point with my stress levels, what with this and uni. Just want to cry :(

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 05/05/2012 15:43

((((hugs)))) lollipop, you will get through this and we're all here for you Smile

hazeyjane · 05/05/2012 15:46

I'm so sorry Lollipop.

Hope your dbf is ok, and you get a chance to take a break from uni stress.

moosemama · 05/05/2012 17:17

Oh Lollipop, I'm sorry to hear that.

Hope he's ok. It could just be the antibiotics he's on.

Hope he's better soon and you get some respite from all this stress. ((hug))

Galena · 05/05/2012 18:15

(((((hugs))))) Lollipop. As Moose says, it could well be the antibiotics. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon and home again.

Wine or Brew whichever you prefer...

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 05/05/2012 19:12

Oh dear, lollipop. I hope he's feeling better.

Triggles · 05/05/2012 19:38

lollipop- so sorry to hear he's back in hospital. Hope he is feeling better very soon. Let everything that's not a huge priority slide.. it'll keep... less stress that way.

2old2beamum · 05/05/2012 22:24

lollipop (((big hugs))) hope things get better very soon I am thinking of you. Try to keep your chin up. What a daft thing to say.

LollipopViolet · 05/05/2012 22:32

Thanks everyone - I let a mutual friend know what was going on earlier. It's my uni technician friend. His reply was along the lines of "Hope he's better soon, but, you absolutely cannot let this stop you hitting that Tuesday deadline. I know it's harsh, but it's what's more important."

He's right. A lot of people have supported me through uni, including DBF, for the last 6 months of it anyway. I can't, and won't let them down.

It's still rubbish though.
