Ds took a big step today. He was watching a video with a cat and dog puppet which he's watched heaps of times. He had a dishcloth in his hand (a favourite 'toy' ) and when I came back into the room he had draped it across his head with the sides hanging down and said "I'm being a dog" and even shook his head from side to side so his 'ears' wiggled! It looked so funny and he realised it himself. dh and I were amazed that he was able to know what he looked like from another person's point of view

How sweet! Very good play/behaviour too. I remember the first time I made my son cry by being cross, I was amazed and delighted!

Jimjams · 30/11/2003 12:56

That is just too cute! How lovley - I'm so leased.

Lottie learned to roar like a lion at the weekend - much to the amusement of the people in the supermarket this weekend!

ThomCat · 01/12/2003 13:34

I came back on here especially to read about your son again Eulalia, I wanted to read it again and get the visual of him doing it - I just think it's so funny/cute that he made 'his ears wiggle'! BLESS! Also very brilliant as well as very cute.

Oh and by the way I had to quickly ring my childminder and explain that Lottie might be a lion a lot today and she burst out laughing and said 'oh that's what she's doing, she's done it about 8 times already'!!!!!

fio2 · 01/12/2003 16:34

wow dinosaur!

We went on a school trip today- to a farm. Everything was totally on ds1's agenda and we spent a lot of time looking at one particular tractor, but hey- it was a school trip and he did it! First time on a coach (we've been on buses before but never a coach). And - in the same vein as dinosaur- despite putting him in a nappy- he was dry all day!

Having a chat on the way back to his teacher- and she said she's really pleased with how well he's doing. She said it's going better than she imagined it could

Better than she can have imagined - WOW, bloody hell you must be chuffed to absolute pieces. I'm so happy for you all.

tamum · 03/12/2003 16:50

Fantastic news on here! That's great about the school trip jimjams, you must be very proud of him.

So sweet about your dd having a friend too fio, only just saw it

Jimjams · 03/12/2003 16:52

fio2 · 03/12/2003 17:36

Well done little jimjams and little dinosaur thats great newsSmileSmile

Grin I thought you had all sent me to coventry!

fio2 · 03/12/2003 17:38

can I just add another proud. My dd had her first proper haircut today, she had it at school by one of the pupils mums. Apparently she sat there like an angel, looking at herself in the mirror. She has quite a trendy layered bob now and they have sent all her ringlets home in an envelope!!Smile .....secretly hoping though that when I wash it all the curls will come back!

coppertop · 03/12/2003 19:18

dinosaur - I completely understand the 'poo pride'. I'd be taking out ads in the national papers by now! Also a big "WELL DONE" to mini-Jimjams for doing so well on his trip, and to mini-fio and Lottie the Lion Cub. I love this thread!

fio2 · 11/12/2003 14:57

Just to say I went to see my dd in the school play today. They were doing the snowman. My dd was a bauble and a rabbit. She made a good rabbit! She was such a showoff! (gets it off her dad) I had a chat with her teacher after and she was really pleased with her progress, said she is talking loads and generally just very loud and confident - something that seems to be helping her along no-end. Also dd told me the names of the kids in her class - CLEARLY, I nearly faintedSmile It's nice to know she feels she can be herself now. (sorry if this sounds like bragging, I am just proudSmile)

Lou33 · 11/12/2003 14:59

Aw that's great Fio! Makes me want to blub a bit .
