Thanks to Thumbwitch for inspiring the title of this new thread. Smile

I will do my very best to minimise my worrying about the future as none of us know what it holds. For now, it's all about celebrating Beatrice's life today, every day.

As always, please feel free to follow us on our journey, and thank you in advance for the wonderful advice I am bound to receive from fellow parents, of SN children or otherwise.

Here's to a positive, uneventful thread!

How gorgeous? I know you are but you should be so proud of all your beautiful girls

PS just realise how much dd1 is the complete spit of you x

JoannaLumpy · 05/03/2012 18:57

Cute or what?! Bea looks like she's enjoying her sisters' company.

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 05/03/2012 20:12

That's (another) lovely photo - you are all so damn good looking and photogenic!!

Pleased to hear Bea has good taste in books :)

DutchOma · 05/03/2012 20:18

I think you ned to swivel the pictures round in your 'My pictures' thingy before you upload them to MN. Even if you have to turn your head, they are absolutely wonderful pictures.

scummymummy · 05/03/2012 21:20

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww:) Very cute picture.

Lilithmoon · 05/03/2012 22:52

Ooooh they're so gorgeous cup, we say it all the time but what a beautiful family you have xxxxx

tooloudhere · 07/03/2012 13:56

How is it going Cup, has she stayed stable? Hoping you are both home by now.

x

cupofteaplease · 07/03/2012 17:37

Tooloudhere She is doing very well thank you Smile she is now on a volume of 500ml per day of Neocate, her biggest volume yet. She now weighs 8lb 8oz- her heaviest weight yet!

We were 'talking' earlier and I was mimicking her noises and she wad smiling away and making more noises for me. That has to all be positive?

OP posts:
fabwoman · 07/03/2012 17:40

Massively positive. Baby Beatrice is doing amazing and that is down to her tremendous character and her amazing family.

8lb 8oz?!?! That is huge Grin.

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 07/03/2012 19:15

8lb8 - Little Chubster :) Wink

Bea 'talking' - it's not only 'positive' it's absolutely bloody brilliant. She's a little diamond.

Sidge · 07/03/2012 19:18

Oh cup she just gets scrummier and scrummier - and communicating with you too - what a superstar Smile

And her sisters are divine too - you have such a beautiful family.

fhdl34 · 07/03/2012 19:29

Now I want to see a video of her talking! She's communicating with you, that's so fantastic x

tooloudhere · 07/03/2012 19:56

It all sounds fabulous to me. She is doing really well, you must be so proud.

x

PenelopeCruisewear · 07/03/2012 20:07

Oh, wow! Little cherub - she's come such a long way. Give her a squeeze and a coo from all her MN aunties Smile

cupofteaplease · 07/03/2012 20:11

I am massively proud, but sometimes I think I 'big up' her achievements too much. Confused For example, her communicating might just be smacking her lips and I do it back and so on and so forth. It might just be a fluke? But she smiles, so I assume she is enjoying our 'chat' and is not just hungry.

I don't know, perhaps I see things that aren't there because I want to see them?

In other news, I went to the dds' parents' evenings today, and whilst their academic attainment is average, their teachers reported them both as happy, smiling, polite, enthusiastic learners and kind friends. I would say, considering their home life at the moment, that they are doing very well. Grin

All those things are just as important as 10/10 for everything!

scummymummy · 07/03/2012 20:18

It sounds like all 3 gorgeous girls are doing brilliantly, cup. What amazing daughters you do have.:)

TCOB · 07/03/2012 20:19

Talking of 'bigging up' your kids' achievements - we practically have a street party each time DS moves up a stage in maths. It's a mum thing, regardless of where our children are at or what challenges they face in life: we have to be their biggest fans. Your tea set are all making their own way and working things out the best way they can and that is worth a really mighty hurrah. And from a 100% unqualified viewpoint where I can't even see little Miss Sausage I can confirm that she is talking and not lip-smacking!

fhdl34 · 07/03/2012 20:22

Why shouldn't you "big up" her achievements, given the prognosis she was initially given? She has come so far. Maybe she is smacking lips because you're smacking lips but doesn't that show she understands what you're doing and is copying? I think it shows some real understanding on her part and you have every right to be proud of her and your other girls, you're a fantastic mum x In fact, be proud of yourself as well Grin

Hebiegebies · 07/03/2012 20:26

Great news about all 3 Cup minors!

ellenjames · 07/03/2012 20:28
