Had one of the mums at the school the other day tell me I should let dd2 sit in her SN buggy because it makes her look more disabled! Shock

At SN soft play event tonight and a little boy was pinching other kids and telling them to shut up (he has autism). Another parent complained to his mum and told her she should warn other parents that his not normal!!

What horrible stupid things have people said to you?

Right after telling DH and I that DD has an extremely rare chromosome disorder and it was possible she'd need lifelong care and never walk or talk, the doctor said to me, "Now it's important that you relax and remain upbeat abut this diagnosis."

Really??!?!?!??!? How would I do that then?

When telling dp's aunt of DS's AS dx;

"oh that's good that it's not adhd, he'll be really smart then."
"We'll no actually he won't, his cognitive assessments showed that his intellectual functioning is in the low range and he'll struggle at school."
"Oh but he must be smart as you're smart."
(What I wanted to say) "I've not got fucking autism!"
(What I really said) "Mmmmm well he's not."

Oh and the photographer at DNieces wedding," mmmmm could you just move that out of the way" He was referign to ds2,s wheelchair but he was in it.
Was meant to be a relaxed shot from above of people sipping drinks on the lawn.. ds2 spoilt the image.
Someone was just about to move him when dNiece shouted NO, bugger off!
