Never had pleasure of starting one before Grin
Had an ok week, apart from one school making it clear they don't want dd2 in their school, fighting centre parks and winning Grin and second week of a horrible cough.
How is everyone?

It wasn't meeee! I only had one large cup of mulled wine, honest.

moosemama · 02/12/2011 21:21

Me thinks the lady doth protest too much! Grin

coff33pot · 02/12/2011 21:23

ninja does your DH like it? I have now bought it myself Grin trust me there is nothing more mind relaxing after dealing with schools, LA to planting some C4 underneath some unsuspecting soldier Grin

coff33pot · 02/12/2011 21:24

ellen do you possibly think............now dont take offence.........but.........due to the mulled wine fumes...............that you were looking at them upside down.............................Grin GrinGrin

moosemama · 02/12/2011 21:27

Ooo yes Coff33, you could be on to something there.

Ellen, was there a ticket 99 but no 66 by any chance? Xmas Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 02/12/2011 21:29

Grin I think it had more to do with those other mums who stuck the wrong tickets on the prizes. I am completely innocent (and rather merry.)

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 02/12/2011 21:31

Actually, there was no 265, but a 592, hmm...

moosemama · 02/12/2011 21:42

592 but no 265? I think Coff33's definitely on to something! Grin

Just how big was this 'large cup' anyway? Wink

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 02/12/2011 21:44

Enormous.

coff33pot · 02/12/2011 21:48

A quick HI to all . Spent the evening making Christmas pressies..too busy even to have drunk my glass of Wine Am sorting that out now !!!!

I would (and have) cried buckets if there is a whiff of Christmas nativity or carols with my DCs involved (except the time when DD was Mary and 'Joseph' kept grabbing the baby Jesus.)

Well done with the tombola ELLEN. I'm not good with tickets. had to phone my mum this morning to ask which bit of the school raffle ticket I was meant to send back

I'm off to stay with friends tomorrow ON MY OWN..so looking forward to that !

coff33pot · 02/12/2011 22:25

ninja dont be Hmm about a team lol I am in a Clan! hahahaha! there is about 35 or so and it was entirely my brothers fault. The zombie ones are brill! and a great laugh with your mates. DH used to play in the front room once on one of the older COD the same time as me at the back. It was so funny to tell him it was his turn to put kettle on and then blow up his tank if he didnt muahahaha. Dont play it so often now as with DS I cant put it on till he is well asleep. With his imagination it would be a no go at school. But before he was born I used to regularly play it. Now I am playing lego star wars with ds lol

TheNinjaGooseIsARoasting · 02/12/2011 22:32

coffee, you haven't seen who's in the clan Grin they seem to spend a lot of time looking for one of their team mates who has a habit of camping. Love the tank subterfuge, excellent Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 02/12/2011 22:51

Ninja! Just noticed your seasonal name, good call. Grin

coff33pot · 02/12/2011 22:56

intothewest · 02/12/2011 22:58

Thanks COFF. I intend to ! Grin

TOTU · 03/12/2011 06:51

I know it's not Friday night anymore but just wanted to say thanks for the good wishes for my son and the birthday party.

Ellen yes, I am the laydeeeee with twins Grin

lisa he has leukaemia

but, we had a great nights sleep. He always sleeps better when he's in my bed. Good job I have no partner Smile

Fingers crossed for the party. I'm taking extra ketchup. Those darned mini-sachets they give out just are not enough for a demon-ketchup guzzler!

TOTU · 03/12/2011 06:52

Also the Tombola story has made me Grin this morning. Very funny!

signandsmile · 03/12/2011 06:58

Morning all, (and hiya and welcome TOTU Xmas Grin)

ellen loved the ticket fiasco, Xmas Grin

into have a fabby time! Xmas Grin

ninja conversational course is running in my church, so likely to be less requests for the swear words, LoL Xmas Grin but yeah, that's usually one of the first requests, (and they are so beautifully expresseive aren't they, Grin).

unpa1dcar3r · 03/12/2011 07:59

Morning all, bit late me being as it's not Friday night anymore...
Didn't make it last night, was 'too tired for' and crashed about 10 ish...

Just had a picture on FB of my daughter and her fella/friends playing football shirtless in the sun in Oz! while I'm shivering under the duvet waiting for boys to emerge (can't actually believe they're still in bed, Bet it means youngest is wet though Sad)

Think Christmas pressie wrapping is the order of the day...

Have a good weekend everybody Smile

TheNinjaGooseIsARoasting · 03/12/2011 11:48

Xmas Grin why thank you ellen

coffee, I'm much the same as you, run around firing madly, dh is much more considered and plays properly according to him Xmas Grin

sign, guess it's best to avoid then! But yes, very expressive Xmas Grin

unpaid, how lovely are they on holiday?

we're off on the search for cheap hahahahahahaha replacement piedros when the dcs have all finished their morning acrivities, wish me luck!!

auntevil · 03/12/2011 14:18

I'd better avoid going shopping in the local town in case i bump into Ninja. Still - at least she can sign her 'displeasure' at the piedro replacement shopping in a less commonly understandable form Xmas Grin

moosemama · 03/12/2011 15:08

Afternoon

I am popping in to admit I have also guzzled a large cup of mulled wine at the boys' Christmas Fair this afternoon. Grin

As a result, my dcs have managed to extract almost £20 from my purse in pursuit of tombola prizes, second hand toys and various other games and prizes. At least its all for a good cause I suppose. (Just hope some of the money goes into the SEN budget! Wink)

Was feeling quite merry until I got home and was promptly handed a letter by the postie saying my neurologist wants to see me next week. She said she wouldn't see me again if the MRI 'didn't show anything to be concerned about'. So of course I'm imagining all sorts now. Sad

Going to do a massive circuit training workout with dh in a minute, then start making Christmas cards and finally get on with wrapping the dc's presents after they're all safely tucked up for the night, to keep myself too busy for dwelling on it.

Putting the Christmas decs up and taking the dogs for a big walk to a local country park tomorrow, so hopefully that will keep me busy as well.
