hi everyone! chezsign has been headless chooksville this week.

finished teaching school basic signs, (they have been brill) made them certificates and arranged to do a surprise presentation in assembly. got whole school signing, good work, well done, and giving a waved round of applause. So sweet!

ds been into school with other newbies for a visit, (been in before, but on own.) met a 'nice' friendly mummy and swapped numbers to meet for coffee, so at least mummy is feeling a bit less insecure. Ds takes it all in stride. Grin!

Will have to start to make all the 'thanks for having him' pressies with ds next week.... (pre-school, portage and special needs group, groups of workers and one to ones...)

How have all your weeks gone??

Hi all.

Will drop in briefly now and return later if I may.
Have mainly ignored kids all afternoon aside from brief periods of drawing together and playing with dolls house.

Really thrilled with ds today. He was asked to copy a word and managed to form a passable letter e. This amazing esp after a truly shocking report.

To all of you digesting end of term reports may I offer you a glass of rioja to help wash them down?

Sorry, ninja, I was concentrating on the gin! So everyone else gets a parents evening but you?! [hhmm]

Thanks folks - I knew you'd understand why I was so Angry. No point in even raising it with them really, as what's done is done and what with the whole barking teacher episode, I don't want to give them anymore reasons to call me a trouble maker. I will however, be mentioning it in passing at his review meeting in a couple of week's time. Wink

Creatovator - bless you, thank you for the kind thought. Alas not even enough calories left for fruit salad. Its not that I've already eaten them all, just that I've planned my evening meal and it doesn't leave much room for manouvre. All this because I wanted some peanut butter at lunch time. Hmm

oo like the sound of that Dr, (gotta say LD psychologist ds saw for assessment makes me weak at knees! probably a good thing he no longer sees him! Blush.

moose I have been ravenous all week, so things will be on the plumptious side this week here too. (I thought you said you were in the tumble dryer, not in with it, I know we are trying to shrink ourselves, but that's going a bit far, Grin

Ninja, we have that as well. We aren't allowed a parents evening appointment, because we have IEP reviews. Hmm

At the beginning of this year I filled in the parents evening request slip as usual, only for the teacher (guess which one) to take it straight to the Head (who at the time was also acting SENCO) and get him to say she didn't have to have have an appointment with us! Angry She now no longer attends his IEP reviews either, so in actual fact I've had no feedback from his actual teacher for months.

We've always had reviews and parents' evenings. You still need to see the teacher about all the 'normal' stuff, surely!

moosemama · 08/07/2011 18:28

Sign, if getting in the tumble drier would shrink me I'd definitely give it a go! Grin

Ellen - ah, but this is wholegrain, organic peanut butter - high fat, but good fat and other than a slight accident with a Weightwatchers belgian chocolate cake slice and packet of low cal crisps the other day (emotional eating after the whole transition debacle and resultant ds1 meltdown) its the only thing I've had that's even vaguely naughty in over three weeks now.

I'm paying for it tonight anyway - quorn peppered steak with steamed broccoli, carrots and peas for dinner. Sad

Right,I'm off to spend some time with Ds before I go out- Have a good evening all- Catch up soon Smile

Well yes Ellen, that's what we sensible people think, but ds's teacher is unable to separate normal day to day stuff from him being a giant sized thorn in her backside having AS!

ellen, I'll never turn down a drink [hgrin]

much the same reason moose, it happened that dd3s iep was reviewed the same week with the head of the base, therefore no need to see the class teacher [hhmm] but the impression I get from the 1:1 is that they're fairly much left to it. Teacher had a list of parents to check the times and dd3 wasn't on it, 2 weeks and dd3'll be out of there, I will have a big smile on face on the last day of term and may well practise some of the signs I picked up at deaf club!

...too tired to garnish my Pimms! Wink

Haven't had DS's report yet but apparently my (NT) DD is quiet, sensitve, caring and lacks empathy. Hmm

No wonder I need a drink!

Where's the disabled parking thread? I need distracting.

no news yet sign, thanks for asking Smile So pleased all's going well with the school, it makes such a difference!

moose, don't think dd3s teacher has got involved with her much at all, all the children in the school know dd3 as she is quite often walked round the school when they don't know what to do with her, it's open plan, ds1 regularly sees her. It's crpa, hope next year is much improved for you.

moosemama · 08/07/2011 18:54

Thanks - I'd get you to teach me some of those signs for the end of term, but I think ds2 is going to have the aforementioned teacher for maths next year. Sad Fortunately, as she's not going to be his class teacher, I don't have to have any direct contact with her myself.

Roll on next year for your dd.

Had a good time at mansionninja - major space after the loft conversion - but don't remember the gin being offered. Was it too early before we picked the kids up from school? Grin

....too tired to cook tonight...waiting for pizza!

Just thought I would say hi as haven't posted for a while.

On a good note we have a provisional statement through, DLA approved, school transition meetings going well and we start ABA in few weeks - yeh!

I am truly tired of chasing DS1 round the house and totally exasperated with bedtime situation but trying to focus on the positives!!

At least I don't have end of term reports to contend with -yet.

I am still trying to shed the pounds but had a bad week as not done much exercise. Moose - you are so disciplined. I just can't eat healthily on fri/sat nights.

Ah well, time to relax, well sort of. Having a glass of Wine but not the same listening to DS1 watching tv!

For those of you going out - enjoy! DH and I are going out tomorrow, can't wait.

Becaroo - Well done on the house front. How can you get everything done in 3 weeks Confused. Don't all legalities take longer than that?

Won't tell what I had for meal - Friday night is eat whatever you want in our house. DH ends up going out to about 3 different places for takeaways. Mine wasn't take away though very naughty and nice all the same Grin
