Well we got enough snow to justify not going to school.. So we put the tree up and played in the snow instead!

Blush meant I always FOUND moving to be a bummer. I'm not sure how to read my first post... Hmm

I just automatically put the "found" in! I skim read most things so can quite often guess what's coming :)

Into, I would suggest that after Christmas when the new toy fun has worn off have a big clear out. DP moved in with me earlier this year - I own my place, he was temporarily back with his mum after being made redundant. We found that we had 6 tin openers between us, as the most extreme example! We also have 5 sets of crockery, although my "every day" set of 8 is knackered so that's going to be donated somewhere. A lot of his stuff should have been chucked long ago, but had been dumped in his mum's garage - 9 months on, he's still sorting some of it Xmas Shock

good luck with the move! Would say don't take anything with you you don't really need or you'll still have it in boxes a couple of years on like me Xmas Smile

purple, we have loads of tin openers, not really sure why, but it's become a bit of a standing joke now when we're any where that sells them Xmas Hmm

Oops, sorry Into!!!

used2bthin · 19/12/2010 15:31

Thank tou all and Grin into he may object yes!
purple we will be similar I am sure and he has the most immaculate bachelor style house ever, and whats worse is it is bigger than the place we are going to and very minimalist. He is in for a shock I think so I am trying to be nice and only take the bare minimu. My plan was to move in only what we really need then sort stuff here at the flat and then I can be ruthless about the rest.

Luckily he doesn't have a tin opener or even iron Shockbut yes it will be hard fitting two houses worth of stuff into one and our furniture style is so different. Go away snow so we can get on with it!
