2shoes · 01/10/2010 22:30

sorry to hear that

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 01/10/2010 22:32

5inthebed · 01/10/2010 22:33

How is your DH Lisa, and have you managed to sort the car insurance people out?

LollipopViolet · 01/10/2010 22:35

Wish I had chocolate or something. Really excited for Sunday but SO nervous as it's the first paid job the uni has given to a film student so there's all sorts of pressure. And there are some REALLY important people going to be there. Luckily two lovely girls in my year are coming to help set up/film/keep me sane/feed me chocolate/wine.

So tomorrow I'll be setting up all the kit ready for Sunday and on Sunday I will be off to Birmingham by train with a load of camera kit! Yay!

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 01/10/2010 22:35

nope car insurance is being an arse and really dont know if they will pay :(
DH has more tests next week but its going to be another 2 weeks before the big results are in Angry
his doing ok, not too bad but of cpourse stressed

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 01/10/2010 22:36

im just wondering how to get DD2 to her special school if we dont get this car sorted ASAP

Lougle · 01/10/2010 22:37

Arsenic, glad it helps.

Maxalt is a...unique....taste. I can only take ½ a wafer because I am on metoprolol so it increases the half-life massively.

I am currently on a regime of metoprolol twice daily, aspirin daily, amitryptiline at night on non-migraine days. When I have migraine I have Maxalt, Motifine and Diazepam also.

The trouble is that the diazepam make you drowsy, so I can't take it in the day time, so that only leaves the Maxalt/motifine combo.

Ho hum. It is hormonal, so as I get periods ooh every month, I get migraines...ooh every month Hmm

Better than it was though. I was getting them all month bar around 6 days.

5inthebed · 01/10/2010 22:38

Sad and Angry and Sad again for you.

We are meant to be going on a day trip tomorrow in the test drive car, I bet DS2 doesn't go in the car.

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 01/10/2010 22:41

oh lougle i have nasty mirgraines. Have you tried Vit b12 and starflower oils?? Really works for the PMT for me

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 01/10/2010 22:44

i havent killed thread have i?? noooooo

Lougle · 01/10/2010 22:44

No, lisad, I haven't. perhaps I should, thannks

Sorry about the car - I know my insurance co said that if I drove the car more than in emergencies, I had to be a named driver rather than driving it on my insurance.

TheArsenicCupCake · 01/10/2010 22:50

:( the car lisa

5 .. put the obsession toy/game in the test drive car and waggle it like a carrot :)

lougle .. Gawd knows what gp will pump me full of next.. diazipam sends me straight to sleep.. Tried the amyl thingy majig stuff.. Not a lot of cop tbh.. maltax now doesn't work.. Hmmmm
last time I ended up in A+E being given morphine, declefenic and something anti sick.. On top of the max does of maltax.
I am hoping not to repeat that experience!
Mine are stress related.. So I love the question.. " have you been under any stress recently".. I tend to let out a hollow laugh at that point.. And the docs tend to just say hmmmmm that would do it then !

Ahhh well what can you do huh?

DH is home to steal my wine! Shock...but he brought more with him! Grin

So what does everyone do to relax?...in a perfect world! :)

Mine would be to stay in my cosy bed on a Sunday morning. :)

or

Or a girls night in with wine and a chinese.:)

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 01/10/2010 22:52

I do that too TACC, they look at me as if im nuts. (think i might be getting there slowly)

ShadeofViolet · 01/10/2010 22:54

Relax - whats that??? :o

Mine is a nice hot bubblebath on a Sunday - the only day DH is around so that no-one gets to share the bath with me.

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 01/10/2010 22:55

oh and my fav "do you get time for yourself"??

TheArsenicCupCake · 01/10/2010 22:59

:o lisa

wooley.. In a perfect world.. To relax I love to surf and climb.. And just get in the car and see where I end up.
( none of this is overly doable these days.. But i do occasionally get to).
Failing that I tend to have lazy days .. get rid if dc's and stay in bed( with various food and drink collections) with dh.. And norah jones. :)

i play badminton on a sunday night, its great to beat the hell out of the shuttelcock and have a laugh. Very few people know about my homelife there so can get away with smiling and saying "im good thanks, u?"

Lougle · 01/10/2010 23:10

I don't know, Arsenic. My GP was talking about giving me Epilim a couple of months ago - apparently it is good for migraine.

TheArsenicCupCake · 01/10/2010 23:12

Ahh lisa I love saying that!

There are actually very few people who know what gies on in my life in RL.. I can't be arsed with the
" omg how do you cope" line .. You lot know about me probably far more than most.. But even then.. A lot of my life is just for me and dh.
One day I will list it all out and the person I'm telling will die of shock.. Or think I'm telling fishermans tails!
and tbh most people don't actually want to know.. ( I wouldn't lol).

I grab a bit of knitting time while the kids are at school. I'm also lucky that they're in a long phase of sleeping pretty well, even if they are up at silly o'clock, most mornings. I prefer the sleep that way round compared with when DS1 used to bounce off the walls until late into the evening.

I also get my long bath on a Sunday morning, but it's not relaxing because I can hear all the males of the house bickering (even DS2 can bicker, despite the non-verbal thing!)

That will be hard come by, soon, though, since once we get the ingress of damp sorted, we need to re-plaster most of downstairs and re-do the kitchen - there's dry rot in the bloody kitchen cupboards :( Need to arrange to get the kids' bedroom window replaced, too. It's bad enough that it's draughty and doesn't open, there was water pouring through it when it was raining, this afternoon - ended up plugging holes in the seal with blue tack!

TheArsenicCupCake · 01/10/2010 23:15

I really need to make an appointment soonish .. Remind me on Monday folks ! I've been too tied up with the dc's and dh and work to book something so far!

OP posts:
TheArsenicCupCake · 01/10/2010 23:19

Bloody hell ouryve.. How soon can you get it sorted?

( my first car as held together with blue tack lol but a house is a bit drastic!)
