OH WOW!! Our claim form is finally with a Decision Maker. Scan date 10th August. I could cry. Obviously no outcome yet, but at least it’s finally with someone.

Amazing news! Mine too hopefully we both get the outcome we was hoping for x

So update on my scan date 5/8
the decision maker has contacted my sons school, claim is on hold until they’ve spoken…and it’s blooming half term!!! Just my luck! 🤪

I have rang DLA yesterday and they say to me that they can’t see anymore if is with DM , so is confusing , that they give you guys some sort of information . Scan date 12/08 no news at all . Anyone in similar situation ?

Hopefullyitcan · 23/10/2026 20:59

I was told it was with a decision maker at the end of September and when I contacted a few weeks later, it wasn’t. I genuinely don’t think they can see anything on their screens other than “received” and “decision made”

Griffindor15 · 24/10/2026 17:20

SD 11/8/26 Decision maker called Thursday to go through night time needs etc and said she will be making decision that day, called yesterday and lady confirmed decision was made Thursday

SD 11/8/26 Decision maker called Thursday to go through night time needs etc and said she will be making decision that day, called yesterday and lady confirmed decision was made Thursday but wouldn’t give me decision over phone. I sent hospital letter for hearing loss, a long EHCP assessment and audhd referral letter but worried it’s a decline 😞

123evi · 24/10/2026 19:22

Mayby some of them can’t see what decision has been made don’t worry . Iam sure it was awarded . I still Weiting and feel very anxious I only send SLT report and my own care to my son . I worry it won’t be positive as not enough of evidence

It’s been such a stressful wait and it’s annoying it’s another wait for the decision letter 😞 I’m keeping everything crossed for both of us what was your scan date 123evi? X

123evi · 24/10/2026 20:17

12/08 lovely .

1 day after mine ❤️ have you called for an update to see if it’s with decision maker yet? X

Stressedasmum2026 · 24/10/2026 21:29

When I applied in 2023 I was declined as I hadn’t explained enough in the form and had very little evidence or professional input. However 3 years on the form was full and had 20 supporting documents. My concern now is it’ll still be a decline 😢

Try and stay positive and remember you have more supporting documents now and I’m sure you would have filled the form in greater detail, I’m keeping everything crossed for you ❤️ x

123evi · 24/10/2026 21:59

Thank you so much. It’s been years of fighting for my child. To the detriment of health but we are hoping we can finally get an outcome.

I know how you feel and I have been impacted mentally from it all to as my ex husband hasn’t seen my daughter for 3 years and had no contact whatsoever as he couldn’t even cope with having her every other weekend and blamed me for the way she was saying she was just naughty! but I’ve put everything into getting her the help she needs and getting closer to diagnosis now to give her the support she needs desperately, she’s 11 and I still sleep with her every night due to the anxiety she has but I’m all she’s got and I will be here for her always ❤️

Aww bless you that’s so much to deal with. I hope you get support soon.

We have had ARFID since 19 months so now risk of malnutrition. Currently 9 years old and diagnosed with ARFID.

Also now diagnosed with Dyspraxia, Autism, anxiety, social anxiety and ongoing care and mobility needs. Has an EHCP and multiple professional input.

But I’m still stressing it’s not enough 😢

my 11 year old is also diagnosed with ARFID Autism , ADHD combined, he has a PDA profile sensory processing disorder and complex behaviour he was diagnosed 2023 he has heavy involvement with professionals and has an EHCP We get HRC LRM for him and he’s just been awarded another 5 years same rate. However will doing an MR for mobility under SMI - Due to severe fight or flight responses. Sounds very similar try not to stress you have all your evidence to support your claim.

My 8 year old daughter is diagnosed with ADHD got autism assessments next month her ep mentioned autism with PDA profile also I feel ATM her ADHD is so severe that it overrides her ADHD her is a renewal this time and sent in her ehcp ep report and advice risk assessment suspension letters and two reduced timetables as in year 3 she was on one for 8 months with at ap provision she's now in a specialist school her fight or flight is so bad she climbed school gates and ran first time I've heard someone child benefit so similar to mine
