Noticed today that there is a sw podcast about the new changes. Try the transcript if you can't bear listening to them!

Hello everyone….I’m in 👋.

Joined 6 months ago and lost 1stone 6 pounds, gained 4lbs back throughout December (Holiday, Birthday and Christmas). Didn’t weigh in yesterday due to busy schedule but meals planned, prepared & cooked ready for the week ahead. Partner is working away so I find it easier to stick to plan without him here.

Summer is the motivation.
Lets do this.

Thanks for that, I had no idea things like that were on the app never having had one before. Looks like I have plenty to do tomorrow as it has just started snowing here so will stay in bed and catch up with it all

LeftyLou · 04/01/2026 23:47

Thank you for the New thread! 🙂
I am feeling excited to get really going with it.

Bringing my stats from the old thread
Starting weight for 2026: 12 stone 9.5
My first goal is to lose 8 lbs by the end of February.

I do love the new healthy extras. I feel this will work better. Saying Swips is going to get some getting used to though. 😄

Good luck everyone.

1st day back at work today 😬 work has always been a bit of a weightloss danger zone as I dont always have time for a break then end up eating everything when I finally get home. I've got an optimistic lunch prepped and overnight oats for breakfast. I have however cleaned the stash of worthers originals from car so at least won't eat them between appointments 🙃 how does everyone manage at work???

Mash88 · 05/01/2026 07:07

I tend to find work easier, it does involve a lot of meal planning.

Today I’ve got homemade gochujang beans, mushrooms & cottage cheese for breakfast. Tempeh couscous salad for lunch and carrot sticks & apple for snacks at work.
Dinner is leftover Salt & Pepper Quorn chicken, courgette, peppers & onion with rice. So as long as I don’t get the temptation to snack when I’m home I should be fine to stay on track.
Having said that, I work in an office so like to get up and walk on my lunch. Unfortunately this is through town and before Christmas I have developed the habit of popping into Costa for a coffee at least once a week. Or Poundland for some cheap crisps.

Thankfully it’s snowing today so will be staying in the warm office.

Hippywannabe · 05/01/2026 07:41

Back to work for me too, packing up fruit, yogurt, crispbreads and cheese spread for the day and planning on pork patties with veg tonight.
All unopened treats are packed away to go to DS at the weekend, all opened treats are on the side for DH, anything that might tempt me is binned.
Apart from the actual work bit, I am looking forward to a bit of normality.

buttonsdude · 05/01/2026 13:00

Hi everyone I'd like to join in too 😁 started last January and lost 2 stone - mucked about A LOT over the summer so could have been more but hey ho! Not been weighed since early Dec and I've put 5lb over Christmas/NYE which is bad but not as bad as expected. Got a big holiday mid march so need to get my act together - big shop done, back to work/routine, meal plan done so I'm raring to go and really looking forward to it!

ChocolateTea · 05/01/2026 17:41

Hope everyone had a good first day of normality!

I had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, and then lunch was homemade butternut squash soup. Snacks were fruit and more yogurt. All at work

starving so came home at 5pm and had my protein pitta id forgotten with some low fat philli, some grapes, and a coffee

dinner is chilli so I’ll have mine with sweet potato mash and veg (the others have bread and nachos)

was going to go to the gym but I’m shattered and still full of cold, and worried about slipping outside, so I’m staying home. Weigh in tomorrow

NeverAloneNeverAgain · 05/01/2026 19:33

Well back to work with a bang but stayed on plan. Didn't manage lunch but have managed to not eat the contents of the fridge whilst waiting for a takeaway to be delivered. Homemade pork and apple burgers with mushrooms and onions and a side salad. Ive got pork marinading in fridge for tomorrow's tea too. All in all a win 😃

Greenfingers37 · 05/01/2026 20:26

I’m back to SW in the morning after 3 weeks off plan 🫣…..dreading it but really looking forward to the big reset!
I’ll report back tomorrow!

Hippywannabe · 05/01/2026 21:31

Back to work and an on plan day. Fruit for break, ryvitas, cheese spread and ham with fat free yogurt for lunch, a couple of pork patties for snacks and the new Beef Redang ready meal which was absolutely lovely with some Uncle Ben's rice. Did have a couple of chocolates but they were counted.

FishPie2 · 05/01/2026 22:14

Can I ask a question from those who know.
I am not back until Saturday and don't want to get it wrong.
There are 3 different HE's but if I only have 1/2 of the fat one can I have 1.1/2 of the fibre one.
Looked on the app but not plain. thanks

ListenLinda · 05/01/2026 22:24

Work was fine food wise for me today, had it all packed up ready to go & was really good.
we have a barista style coffee machine, so I had two hot chocolates trying to warm my self up from the inside as the office was so chuffing cold. & building management refused to turn the heating up!

MirandaWallis · 05/01/2026 22:43

I've been off work today as did a nightshift last night . Made a frittata for breakfast with feta, onion, peas and a chopped potato, lunch was pepper and butternut squash soup. Had a spectacular fall on black ice when out walking today, bruised rubs 😫 so gingerly made some chicken with veg for tea. Stayed on plan with no snacks. A good day for me (apart from the fall).

Sadly no-you can have half a HE, but the other half must come from the same group ie if you have half a calcium choice, you can’t then have half a fibre to make one whole choice, it has to be another half of calcium.
hope that helps!

Thank you - I have been having my porridge for my fibre one and having 2 ryvita for lunch for the other half of the fat one.
My breakfast takes up 7 (stuff I am taking to lower my cholesterol etc) and aiming for 10 so will have to go nearer 15 if I want the Ryvita.
I read in the book to aim for 10 knowing you will have a buffer but seems that is mine.

LeftyLou · 06/01/2026 12:15

@MirandaWallis ouch! Hope you're okay!

I have been loving apple slices with almond butter without using any swips.

Today was sweet omlete with strawberries and FF natural yoghurt on the side. With a bit of sweetener.

I'll be at my parents for lunch today so not sure what I'll have. Tea will likely be left over pasta Bolognese. It is from a jar of sauce but 4.5 for the whole jar so I'm calling it 2 per portion.

I just need to get myself moving more even if that's a quick 15 mins round the block or using my walking pad. I even talked with my partner about going swimming again. I just need to make the effort.

I have weigh in tomorrow. Feeling good about it. So shall see.

Dextersgoneovertherainbowbridge · 06/01/2026 12:50

@FishPie2its whatever works for you, my lovely! You make it fit your life, not the other way round!

BearPear · 06/01/2026 13:12

I haven’t been to group since December and I think the leader presumes I’ve given up because I didn’t get the group WhatsApp this week. We like to go away quite often and we look after our grandchild so sometimes miss group, I’m wondering if online would be better for me.
My dose of Sertraline was increased last year and I gained half a stone, which coupled with menopause has seemed to have scuppered my weight completely. Anyone any experience of weight gain with Sertraline, I know it’s listed as a side effect, but how/why?

suki1964 · 06/01/2026 20:40

@bearpear Im on Sertraline and menopause and Ive still lost the weight. Slowly and I do at times have to be very strict , but its off - and staying off

It was hard for me at group to see someone come in and lose 6lb a week ( or more ) when I fought hard for every pound. But I voiced it and had lots of support from other women who had the same struggle so I stayed with it

Dextersgoneovertherainbowbridge · 07/01/2026 14:23

@suki1964 I get what you’re saying about seeing people lose big.
They may using other things though to help.
I mean, that’s great that they still go to group but yes, sometimes it’s a bit frustrating.

surely though the injections should be done in part with a new eating regime, otherwise when the injections stops the weight will creep up again?

SW encourages volume eating which is the opposite of what people on wli usually need. They have such a small appetite they need calorie dense foods to get enough nutrition from the limited portions.
