Hi folks jumping back on. Well last week was another 1.5lb gain which is totally deserved- I just couldn’t get my head back in the gain. However this week every day has been on plan, syns tracked and I am determined for a good loss. Ideally 3lb to get me back where I was pre Christmas but we will see. I’ve tipped back over a stone bracket which I always find frustrating. But it is what it is - onwards and downwards now!

CountryCatLady · 09/01/2023 07:56

After a healthy breakfast yesterday it all went out the window. At a birthday party, which was all beige buffet food.

Back to plan today...

pharmacoco · 09/01/2023 08:01

It's my first weigh in today after a week 'on plan'. Hoping for 3lbs off to really spur me on Grin

@additionalcharacter I am doing the exact same with the frozen meals, have got them in for the days the kids are eating freezer food or even the hubby decides he wants a takeaway!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 09/01/2023 08:26

Just had weigh in and another kilo off 🥳

I started the 7th Nov and total to date is 8.2 kilos off so really pleased with how it's going especially as we've had Xmas.

Well done on this weeks losses. First WI on Tuesday, hoping for a good first week loss.

I bought a waffle machine for £11 from Aldi and did my baked oats in there, so quick and effective.

I had the king prawn linguine SW meal the other day, was very tasty. When I first did SW, the meals were only £2.50/£3. They're quite expensive now at £4.50, so will be having less of those. Usually have them on days DC are having a freezer special if I've had a long hard day at work.

Have you tried the Aldi ones called Slim Well @ £2.19. The syn values are on the app, usually around 2 except the sausage one. I buy them and keep in freezer for emergencies but I do like them, just add some veg or salad.
Google them and you can see what they are.

Decafflatteplease · 09/01/2023 10:25

First proper day here for me and already I want a packet of crisps 🙄

So far have had Weetabix with raisins.

Not sure what lunch will be maybe mushroom omelette or a mug shot noodle soup thing.

Dinner is chilli and rice

Decafflatteplease · 09/01/2023 10:26

Ps has anyone tried the Quorn byriani sw ready meal? I need to go to town in the week and get some sw ready meals from Iceland for easy lunches or dinner when everyone else is having something not slimming world friendly.

Carpediem15 · 09/01/2023 10:36

Don't know which day is starts but the 10% off SW meals in Iceland for SW members is about to start again. Tried to google but can't find it but check in group.

Decafflatteplease · 09/01/2023 10:38

Me again sorry is this right that to join as an online member the cheapest option is £60 for 3 months?! I only really want a month. I just need the barcode scanner I have all the books already etc

picklemewalnuts · 09/01/2023 13:17

I'm like an eating machine at the moment. Sigh.

That's what I do, online only as I don't fancy the classes. I paid 60 for 3 months, I don't know how that differs from the class membership.

picklemewalnuts · 09/01/2023 14:36

Class is £6/week, so about £24/month, depending how many weeks in the month!

Decafflatteplease · 09/01/2023 14:57

Hmm, £60 upfront seems alot tbh

Wilma55 · 09/01/2023 15:30

If you only want it for a month you could go to a class and book .3 weeks holiday!

picklemewalnuts · 09/01/2023 15:48

Yes, cheaper to go to 3 classes, book some holiday, then stop turning up. Eventually they throw you off the app. Not sure how fast.

AdditionalCharacter · 09/01/2023 16:33

No not tried them @Carpediem15, will take a look when I can next get to Aldi, thanks.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 09/01/2023 17:26

Actually I just remembered I paid 55 not 60 as I searched for a code before joining. I need the app, I need to have that constant reminder near by plus I find the planner and scanner really useful. Not sure I could do it without it. A family member who lost 5 stone last year with SW still goes to classes and uses the app to stay on track and maintain.

Carpediem15 · 09/01/2023 18:47

Usually you get a free cook book with the 12 week deal plus a free week. Think I got 12 weeks for the price of 11 plus the book.

Carpediem15 · 09/01/2023 18:54

£56.50 for the 12 week which worked out at £4.70 per week.

Wilma55 · 09/01/2023 18:59

Link to latest offers. Think some papers and magazines have coupons too.

First week and it's a loss of 3.5lbs, the hall is opposite the chippy and my sons poorly, so I was very tempted to go in there for ease but managed to make wedges, beans and cheese at home Hmm haha !

Wilma55 · 10/01/2023 07:56

Well done @pharmacoco for the loss and the willpower!

LightandAiry · 10/01/2023 11:01

I like the sound of beans, wedges & cheese. Well done on 3lb
