I've been bad today. I had pancakes at Frankie and bennys. Then I'm having spaghetti bolognese and bread at my mums.

Last night we had a Chinese 🙈 my husband got it as a Mother's Day present!!

Littlepig8834 · 11/03/2018 16:55

Groovee, you never know you might still get to target!

I've been for an afternoon tea today and came home with cake as couldn't eat it all.

Prob just eat cake for tea later, the line will be drawn after tonight!!

boats16 · 11/03/2018 17:16

My kitchen looks like a florist, as there were flowers there from my birthday.everyone gave flowers or plants as they know I'm trying to lose weight.I wouldn't of minded a little chocolate though lol Flowers

MyGuideJools · 11/03/2018 18:04

Flutterby81 · 11/03/2018 18:32

MumInTheCity · 11/03/2018 19:17

Went to my sister's for dinner today, luckily she's just joined SW so it was all on plan. DD got me a treat tin for Mother's Day filled with baked oat muffins that she made herself. Lovely day, and managed to stay on track so I'm happy.
B - baked oat muffins (HEB)
L - leftover pasta bake
D - Nando's style chicken (2 syns), rice, salad, roasted peppers and peas (2 syns for salad dressing)
S - blackberries

boats16 · 11/03/2018 19:18

raisedbyguineapigs · 11/03/2018 20:13

Blondes Hope you had a fab first mothers day! YOu deserve it after all that!
I had a cooked breakfast made for me this morning, but it had loads of mushrooms and tomatoes on it. It didn't look greasy and I didn't have toast. We had lunch out and I had a really nice with wholemeal bread. Dinner was pasta but I did have some Jam Roly Poly! I did also get some Hotel Chocolat chocolates for mothers day, which are delicious! I'm hoping to ration them to one a day after todays indulgence so hope I can keep to that! I didn't bother counting syns. Ill start again tomorrow on 5-10 syns a day.

ShapelyBingoWing · 11/03/2018 20:54

Hi everyone, been away from these threads for a while but have a total of 3 stone 5lbs loss so far!

I'm after a bit of help if possible? I see there are a few people here who work nights and need to pick your brains.

I'm a student nurse about to start a run of nights but this is the first placement I've been on where the place where the nurses on their breaks get their heads down for a bit is also the place where the microwave is. I don't sleep on a night and want a meal instead but I really can't bring myself to use the microwave with someone sleeping in the same room.

So, I'm after ideas that are nice eaten fridge cold. Crudités, salads and fruit aren't really satisfying to me on nights so I'm looking for proper meal ideas that I can make up 3 night's worth in advance.

Any ideas would be a great help!

boats16 · 11/03/2018 21:08

Welcome ShapelyBingo .That's a predicament you've got there. You could take soup in a thermos . Covent Garden can be used as HEB. (300g) .I don't work nights.Maybe those that do will have more of an idea 😮

ShapelyBingoWing · 11/03/2018 21:14

I do have a thermos so that might be a good shout. How many hours do you reckon is their limit? It'd be heated up at about 5-5:30 pm but might not be eaten until 2:30 am. Is 9 hours doable do you reckon?

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2018 21:40

I had a wonderful first mother’s day. Thank you all - with the amount of bad stuff I’ve eaten toast there really isn’t a chance I will lose weight on Friday .....

But hey ho

Testarossa1 are you mummy to E&J?

If not then need more clues 😂

@bingo - nights are a bugger. Tho I sleep/size when baby does but always seem to be hungry 3/4am when feeding baby yet if home wouldn’t be

Personally —as I’m a selfish git who likes and needs food— I would use microwave

But guess a flask would keep warm. R.E.M. to rinse and leave boiling water in it for 10m To heat flask to full potiental

Would you eat tuna pasta mayo with veg cold?

Or the egg pepper onion cheese muffins are nice

Chopped fruit in ml yog

Know they are all cold so prob not helpful

ShapelyBingoWing · 11/03/2018 21:53

Cold works! As long as it's tasty fridge-cold then I'm open to it.

Tuna pasta is a good one actually. I'll have to see if I have any pasta in. I have cous cous. Might be a bit odd but needs must!

MyGuideJools · 11/03/2018 22:44

welcome shapely
I'm always starving on nights! I often make a rice dish and eat it cold. (take it out of the fridge 30 mins before)
my fave is courgette, peppers, tomatoes and rice with soy sauce. nice and moist.
Or cold frittata is good.
Or sometimes I have a nice meaty sarny with synned crisps & a chunk of cheese(hexA)
Or as pp suggested, tuna pasta is good, with grated cheese (hexA)
Good luck!

ShapelyBingoWing · 11/03/2018 22:47

Ooh! I made a crustless quiche a few months back that I'd completely forgotten about but it was bloody lovely! Thanks for the frittata idea Jools!

OwlinaTree · 11/03/2018 23:14

Roasted veg and cous cous is nice, could make up batches and have with a bit of salad?
