Morning all. I've not only fallen off the wagon, I have face-planted into food. Don't know what has gone wrong but my mojo has abandoned me and I have binged my way through the last week.
I have a busy few days now, lunch with a friend today, out for dinner tonight, gin festival tomorrow, out for dinner with friends tomorrow night then have visitors coming on Sunday who want to visit a local food festival for lunch then go to the Air Show. It's not looking good!
I'm guessing my best bet is to regroup and plan to start again on Monday

emwithme · 11/08/2017 11:51

2 lbs off yesterday, so now 10lbs to go to get back into target zone and a stone to get to just below target, where I'll be happy to be back at.

Did go a little off the wagon yesterday but in the overall scheme of things, not too bad (about 25 delicious syns) so I can pull it back over the rest of the week.

Does anyone have a nice macaroni cheese recipe? (DH doesn't like the 2CC butternut squash one so not that one please) because (a) I have macaroni in the cupboard that could do with using up and (b) I have a hankering for rib-sticking food right now.

Today's food plan:

B: Eggy muffins
L: I have absolutely no clue! Possibly a ricey salad with sardines. Will go on a cupboard forage at some point
D: Pork steaks, new potatoes, carrots, cabbage, broccoli.

HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars or apricots, depending on mood this evening.

The Kerry LowLow (or GoGo I think it's labelled as now) cheese spread makes a good cheese sauce. And half a tub is your HExA allowance. I use a tub of that and 60g grated cheddar (so 4 allowances of HExA) and that does 4 of us. I usually add a splash of milk to loosen it up but have to syn that but it doesn't usually add up to much. Think the website had a cheese sauce recipe using Primula Light as your HExA as well. You can add free stuff like mustard powder, and salt and pepper, to the sauce too - the mustard powder especially seems to make it taste cheesier as long as you don't overdo it.

I'm sitting here in shock right now, found out I've been nominated for woman of the year in our group. Not sure how many finalists are in each one but really didn't expect that at all. So many others have lost a lot more than me in a shorter time so it's a real boost for me. Smile

FoofFighter · 11/08/2017 14:27

Wow what a proud moment for you, but it's not done on weight loss at all, but who everyone thinks is the most supportive and helpful and inspiring person.
Good luck StarStarFlowersFlowers

Groovee · 11/08/2017 14:39

Aww great news Em x

Groovee · 11/08/2017 14:40

I voted for someone who has had a slow weight loss but has turned up weekly, given some great ideas in group, always makes a big effort for taster and always has a smile and takes time to tell others how well they are doing x

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 11/08/2017 15:20

Thanks groovee that's really useful Flowers

Well done em

bloo that's great you should feel proud of yourself

owlsandbadgers · 11/08/2017 15:32

Hey all! New joiner here!
Please keep me on track! I've been a member online and lost nothing as my will power is non existent, I've lost 2 1/2 stone with SW before... chucked back on 1 1/2 and need to shift it before I go insane as nothing fits me! Help needed please!

BasinHaircut · 11/08/2017 16:02

Em I boil up a cauliflower and some onion in water with a veg stock cube. When soft drain and keep water and then blitz the veg adding the stick back to desired consistency, then chuck in Parmesan. It's calzone's recipe (but I think I added the onion).

Owls do you plan?

BlooBagoo · 11/08/2017 16:05

Thanks so much all of you. I know it's not on best weight loss but was just meaning I've felt really crappy in group as I've been struggling for months at around the same sort of weight (I'd lose one week and put it back the next but I've not been keeping track so I know it's my own fault for that), and then others coming in and losing more got to me quite a bit. Funnily enough, the woman I voted for has been in a similar place as me and has struggled some weeks, but she has always been cheery, chatty and a great member of the group.

Anyway, back to everyone else. What's for dinner tonight? I can't decide, we have a party tonight so not wanting anything too big or time consuming but not sure what I fancy either. Have some gammon steaks in the fridge but I don't know if I fancy them or even what to have with them (DH ate the fresh pineapple I bought so I don't even have that.)

owlsandbadgers · 11/08/2017 16:06

Yes then get distracted and go off... my MiL is constantly bring over apple cake and crumble etc 'for the children' but it's a huge amount each time and I need to remember to say no! I've ordered some chocolate from Sarah's creative kitchen that arrived today and also have stocked up on the JD seasonings which we all love here. I'm hoping I can bore you all to death with my daily food so at least I'm accountable to you and this will maybe help me!

Groovee · 11/08/2017 16:15

We're having home made turkey burgers with potato slices that will be roasted and salad.

FoofFighter · 11/08/2017 17:07

Marks £10 deal tonight

Roast chicken (no skin) mixed veggies, boiled potatoes red wine and a pudding but I did buy the lowest cal one in my defence to limit damage!!

Trills · 11/08/2017 20:01

Trying out some butternut "squaffles" tonight (butternut squash cut in interesting ways - from Sainsbury's). With smoked paprika on them as I often find butternut squash too sweet.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 11/08/2017 21:29

I made a lovely pudding tonight - puréed raspberries, flat peaches, natural yoghurt and ground almond (hexB) on top. Really fresh and delicious!

BlooBagoo · 11/08/2017 22:22

We ended up going super classy with Mug Shots for dinner. Grin DH was being a pain and my make up took longer than expected so at least it was quick and simple. If he dares suggest a takeaway later I will slap him though!

crazycatgal · 11/08/2017 23:15

Made the pinch of nom 'chizza' recipe for tea and it was lovely. Butterfly chicken breast in a KFC style coating topped with a tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and chorizo. We served it with lots of asparagus. Would highly recommend!

TurquoiseOwl · 12/08/2017 04:20

There's lots of people with Owl in their username Grin

owlsandbadgers · 12/08/2017 06:23

Everyone loves an owl!
Today I'm focused, I've planned for the day.
Breakfast - scrambled eggs and watermelon
Lunch- jacket potato, beans and salad
Dinner - lamb with doner seasoning, pitta and syn free yogurt mint dressing
Snacks - yogurt and fruit!
Here's hoping I can manage to stick to it, first day back on plan.

Groovee · 12/08/2017 07:17

I very sadly brought my scales on our caravan hols. I weighed in this morning and I've lost 2.5 lbs which makes 7lb off altogether. I'm really proud of myself as I've had to resist all the cakes, fish and chips and biscuits DP and the DDs have been having but I'm determined to lose a bit of weight before starting my new job in September.

FoofFighter · 12/08/2017 09:26

Got to get my focus back!!

B one weetabix coconut crushed into strawberries and free yogurt

L ham and egg salad with hexa cheese

T Chicken mayflower curry (4) with noodles and stir fry veg

Trills · 12/08/2017 09:28

Be careful with caravans - they have notoriously wonky floors.
