Is "Slimmer of the week" based on anything or is it just whoever they decide to reward that week?

I've been keeping the week 1 food diary - am I going to get told off for most of my syns being spent on alcohol? 9 for one pint! Shock

Rice box does look great.

Trills · 25/07/2017 21:38

Well done PA! :)

PositiveAttitude · 25/07/2017 21:43

Slimmer of the week is the person who has lost the most in the group this week AND lost or maintained the previous week.

Trills · 25/07/2017 21:48

Oh so there is some maths behind it? Right. I had no clue.

First weigh-in tomorrow. I have to take something for the basket of stuff for the winner, right?

PositiveAttitude · 25/07/2017 21:50

Yes, just something small that is either low syn or syn free. Most people take a piece of fruit and ours has some lovely homegrown veg in at this time of the year. Sometimes there is very little in there, other weeks it is overflowing. Hmm

IvorHughJarrs · 25/07/2017 22:00

I've been crap for the last few days but am hoping to get back on track tomorrow. Missed my weigh in today as had visitors but it is probably just as well

TurquoiseOwl · 25/07/2017 22:01

@PositiveAttitude - amazing! Well done Smile

Groovee · 25/07/2017 22:20

Wow @PositiveAttitude well done. Amazing achievement.

After weigh in, the weigher goes into the awards and the tablet calculates SOW and SOTM and tells you the group weight loss.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 25/07/2017 22:21

Wow well done Positive! Five stone is incredible!

Turquoise yep I'll get my certificate and sticker next week but won't obviously get the basket of past it's best fruit.

It's a bit frustrating because I was there until practically the end but my baby was crying so I didn't want to distract anyone from the talk so I cut our losses and ferried away DD. I lost -3lbs which I'm pretty thrilled about.

IvorHughJarrs · 26/07/2017 01:00

Well done positive and ibuilt. Doing great!

LavenderRains · 26/07/2017 05:30

Well done positiveStar that's brilliant

FoofFighter · 26/07/2017 08:40

Wow that's amazingly big well done!

JaceLancs · 26/07/2017 09:12

I'm really struggling here - got to 3 stone 2-5 lb loss and have lost hope!
3 stone ish to go so roughly half way - this week I gained a pound last week gained half a pound
When I'm home I manage ok - but work away a lot and got quite a few weekend breaks n holidays coming up and that's where it all goes wrong
Any suggestions?

GiraffeAHolic · 26/07/2017 10:11

Had my week one weigh in last night and was down 4.5lbs, really quite pleased 😊

Boatsnack · 26/07/2017 11:17

Fantastic positive

We'll done giraffe

I have totally fell off the wagon, I took dd for lunch yesterday and had a huge slice of starbar cheesecake it was worth it the bread, crisps and wine I also had yesterday weren't worth it though.

I'm going to try a couple of SP days try and force myself back on track. Anyone got any tips? Also I thought SP was essentially low carb but I'm allowed 2 HEB that's potentially 4 slices of toast hardly low carb.

BasinHaircut · 26/07/2017 11:44

Jace you may have plateaud (sp?). Have you tried changing up your heathy extras?

It's really hard when life is busy too. You can be good all week and then just find it impossible to fit your life around at the weekends. That's what I find anyway.

boat SP is still limited carbs. Only 2 slices of full sized toast and nothing else all day is still pretty low carb compared to a weetabix breakfast, jacket spud for lunch and a bowl of pasta for dinner.

Wow positive what an achievement!!

This is my forth week and I'm starting to crave biscuits and chocolate but I can't just have one or two so using my syns for abit of chocolate just seems to make me crave it more

This was the SW curry last night

Wow positive, 5 stones. I hope you are proud of yourself, that's a real achievement.
groovee I bought the choc macaroon hi if bars too, as everyone at SW said how nice they were. I am usually reluctant to 'waste' syns on these bars as they are tiny, and I don't use them as HEs, but they are really nice, and satisfy the evening munchies.

FoofFighter · 26/07/2017 13:01

bought the new bars today at group - not coconutty enough by half for me and super sweet. I don't normally buy hifi bars.

lost 4lbs this week :D just need a lb for my 1 and a half stone award now :D

TurquoiseOwl · 26/07/2017 13:43

@FoofFighter - well done! Smile I found those bars really coconutty? Mind you, I then started to find them tasting a bit like hand cream Grin I do like them though.

Boatsnack · 26/07/2017 14:11

I know basin, I think because I've done low carb before it feels counter intuitive to have bread.

Well done foof

I just ate homemade lentil soup which isn't strictly SP because there was potatoes in it but it was really nice and still way better than cheesecake 😁

ibuiltahomeforyou · 26/07/2017 14:43

Well done @FoofFighter and all other 'losers'! Wink

Groovee · 26/07/2017 15:23

Well done Foof.

@JaceLancs what sort of things do you struggle with when away?

Groovee · 26/07/2017 17:02

Went out to a new Chinese buffet. Managed quite well to get speed foods in.

Jace and others who are struggling at the moment. I have had times when I have really struggled and wondered if this just does not work for me. Each time I have made a conscious decision to do one thing for a week and see what happens and so far each time it has worked to get me back on track. For example one time decided to drink loads and loads gallons of water., another I did the scanbran challenge. Another time I wrote down absolutely everything that passed my lips. More recently I have had a few SP days to get myself moving again. Keep going, it does work and it will come off again. I have slowed down loads and it has taken me literally months to lose this last stone, but I am still determined to keep going. It took me many many years to get to the size that I was - so I am going to give myself a few years to get it off now, too.

Thank you for all the congratulations. Smile
