Well, I need to go to the Dr today, will be phoning for an appt at 8, so it will depend on that. There are two meetings but I'd rather go to the early one.

FaithAgain · 15/06/2017 08:16

Fair enough basin that would make a difference. Our new house has a carpet in the bathroom (why? Yuck! That's going!) and I'm 3 stone lighter if I weigh there!!

So last night I lost a miraculous 3lb and hit target!! Smile Shock Lost 3st 4 1/2lb. Gone from obese to a healthy weight. Size 16 to a 12. Can't quite believe it! Would like to lose that bit more to get to 3 1/2st lost but we'll see.

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 15/06/2017 08:17

Oh well done Faith!

BasinHaircut · 15/06/2017 09:22

Well done faith that's amazing!!!

fizzingwhizbee · 15/06/2017 10:17

Hi all!

Room for one more?

I rejoined nearly three weeks ago. Lost 6lbs in my first week and 2lbs last week.

Hoping for a loss at meeting tomorrow morning.

I had a baby 8 weeks ago and have 16.5lbs to lose to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. And I have 36.5lbs to go to get to goal. Goal weight is what I weighed when I got married 4 years ago.

ALemonyPea · 15/06/2017 10:23

That's awesome Faith, well done!

Welcome Fizz, well done on your loss so far.

Em, you need to just get past the 12 week mark, that's when you start feeling a bit more human, less sicky (normally) so don't worry too much ATM about what you're eating.

Well done on reaching target faith

lemony that dress is lovely, I'm betting it would be too short on me. Tall girl problems.

Welcome fizz. Well done on your loss so far. I finally have my pre pregnancy weight in sight 8 years after I had dd, I'm in awe of your motivation at 8 weeks.

Dd is still off school sick and the boredom/lack of sleep is getting to me. Need to remember "fridge pickers, wear bigger knickers"

BasinHaircut · 15/06/2017 11:16

Wow fizz I'm also in awe of anyone who isn't knee deep in biscuits 8 weeks after giving birth. My target is also my wedding weight Grin if I ever get there

I've decided after holiday I'm going to try out a few new groups. Going to a different one last night has opened my eyes to how uninspiring my consultant is, even though she is lovely.

FYI the pinchofnom beef ragu is well worth a try. I used the slow cooker and cooked for 8hrs on low. I also reduced the amount of water that I dissolved my stock cubes in, only about 100ml.

It's very filling I think next time I'll add a bit more pearl barley and liquid to compensate, then just serve with veg instead of pasta as you just don't need it.

Think I won't weigh in again until I'm back from holiday. Think I'm ok with staying where I am for summer and going for target in September when there is a bit less going on.

fizzingwhizbee · 15/06/2017 11:20

Thanks basin, boatsnack and Alemony!

I'm just fed up of not fitting into anything. My mum is a diamond member. So lots to live up to! She's a great encouragement though. Which is partly what's got me off my arse and into meeting.

Also have a 2yo. Which helps because I can't eat anything without him wanting it. So I spend large portions of my day not eating anything Grin

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 15/06/2017 12:05

I lost 5lb. It was my first week and I didn't really start doing it properly till Monday so I'm happy. Stayed for most of the meeting and it was better than I expected, also met a friend there which was nice.

ALemonyPea · 15/06/2017 13:33

Well done Know.

I am always in awe of anyone who can diet in the first year of having a baby. I definitely couldn't.

Well done @FaithAgain.

Welcome @fizzingwhizbee.

Aww @Boatsnack Hope your Dd is better soon!

Met my mum this morning then a friend who was like Shock as she didn't register it was me from the back x

FaithAgain · 15/06/2017 14:59

Thanks! I've been shopping and spent a fortune! Might take some things back, it feels excessive.

I didn't start until DD was 3 1/2..I tried to failed to eat well when she was tiny. I realised I was passing on bad habits to her which spurred me to start.

fizzing hi. I felt the same when I started and I didn't want to buy newer clothes another size up!

Basin I've weighed in at various groups due to shifts and my consultant is by far the best around! Definitely worth shopping around to find one that suits you.

BasinHaircut · 15/06/2017 15:32

faith I feel a bit disloyal trying out other groups but I guess I don't really owe my consultant anything. She is nice but going to her group doesn't really give me anything more than weighing and going would. Last night the group was just sharing loads, talking about their week, offering advice to each other. And the consultant (although she was only covering) was so sweet and like everyone's personal cheerleader, but at the same time not OTT and she spoke so much sense.

fizzingwhizbee · 15/06/2017 17:02

Faithagain ive bought two pairs of jeans in a bigger size from primark and that's it. I'm not buying anything else!! I refuse. Just wearing the baggiest tops I own for now!!

FaithAgain · 15/06/2017 17:10

It really does depend on your consultant. One group I went to she stood and went through the magazine! Lazy! Our image therapy is going one by one, saying how they've done and then discussing things. It's considerate though. One girl in our group has some issues so they never say her total loss, just how she got on that week. Some weeks we just chat about meal ideas. I got loads from that! I guess essentially it's franchise so although they're basically the same, it'll depend who runs it. Just tell her you can't make it on your set day and try somewhere else. I know what you mean about loyalty but you're more likely to be successful with someone who you find engaging.

ALemonyPea · 15/06/2017 19:33

Getting the right group definitely helps.

What bothers me about groups is that anyone can be a consultant, they don't need to have got to target or be a healthy weight at all. Not very inspirational for new members really. My consultant has never been at target, she's been close, but never got there, and she's been doing it for 10 years.

NachoAddict · 15/06/2017 20:12

My consultant last time round was brilliant, so funny, engaged the class and was really open and honest about her own journey and love of desperados.

I didn't stay to group at my first weight in thos week but the consultant called everyone gorg which is going to get on my nerves!

useyourimagination · 15/06/2017 21:14

Just out of interest, is anyone else doing it online? I live rurally and work full time so just don't have the time, energy or inclination to drag out to a group meeting. I've only been on it for a fortnight but don't feel I'm missing anything particularly.

ps - Well done, Faith. That's pretty much what I've got to lose so looking at you as my inspiration :)

Alfieisnoisy · 15/06/2017 21:19

I've been attending since January and am nearly 3st lighter. I am also much more active which helps too.

I have a love/hate relationship with SW and syns. Am trying to remember that this is a journey with no ending. I am living instead of existing now and I won't ever go back to how I was.

Groovester · 15/06/2017 22:18

1/2 lb on for me this morning. Don't really understand why unless it's hormonal or because I've been a bit poorly this week because I have been on plan 6 days out of 7. I have been strict to make up for my day off and I thought I'd done enough. Was fully expecting a loss. It's an outrage! Smile

Groovee · 15/06/2017 22:33

Aww @Groovester that will be off next week x

OwlinaTree · 15/06/2017 22:42

Well done on target Faith, and well done other losers. Groovster, it's so annoying isn't it? Hopefully you'll have a good loss next week to make up for it.

I've decided to really try hard this week. I've got a hen party on Saturday night, but other than that I'm going to stay well on plan, try to keep syns fairly low to make up for the hen party, and make sure I do at least 10,000 steps a day. I've got 1lb to go to get to 3 stone and I've only lost 0.5lb in the last 3 weeks! I need a boost!

So far so good, I've got a very active day planned for tomorrow, but it ends with a children's BBQ. I'm going to resist eating there and just have something when I get home I think.

I want that next shiny!!

LavenderRainbows · 15/06/2017 23:24

groovester that sucks doesn't it? Especially when you know you've been on plan! It will be off next week I'm sure.
I, on the other hand will probably put on a zillion pounds next week Grin....
it's my birthday and so far this week I've been out for 3 meals and got another one tomorrow🙈
But on a positive note ifind it hard to believe that I'm almost 5 stone lighter than I was on my last birthday! Cheers!Wine

Groovester · 15/06/2017 23:35

Cheers lavender and happy birthday. Calories don't count on special occasions!

Thanks for the support everyone. Genuinely baffled but I know 1/2lb is nothing. Still annoying though!
