Hi all,

I've been a long time lurker on this thread but thought i'd post as i'm hoping to gain some inspiration from you guys Smile

Lost a couple of stone a year ago using MFP but it started to creep back on so i'm doing SW online. Lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks but suspect I've put it all back on after a couple of weeks of reckless abandon (I've avoided weighing in but will start again on Thursday).

My problem seems to be that I seem to be an all or nothing type of dieter. I can go for a while without eating anything unhealthy but then when I do get something in the house I can't stop eating! e.g. I bought a box of fibre one's today and ended up eating four instead of the one I had planned Blush.

There's been some amazing losses on this thread so hopefully I can follow suit!

ALemonyPea · 03/04/2017 07:53

Welcome Moon, and good luck getting back on it.

Welcome moon! Don't worry about falling off the SW wagon, most important thing is you get back on, even if it takes a few goes.

Morning all. Thought I'd come and 'beat the rush' getting a blood test and I'm now sitting here with 70 people waiting ahead of me. Not impressed. Seems to be moving quite quickly though to be fair. famous last words

Have got myself a coffee for the wait. Usually have 2 sugars in coffee but I'm trying switching to sweetener. Note to self this sweet n low stuff is awful! Can anyone recommend a good one?

Today is weigh day so need to be good and hope for a maintain. Then I want losses every week in April. Well maybe not the Monday after the hen night I'm going on, but 4lbs in 4 weeks overall is the goal which will also put me under 11stones for the first time in almost 5 years.

What are we all eating today? For me it's -

B: weetabix and milk
L: Gammon, left over veg from dinner last night
D: chorizo and feta spaghetti with courgette and mushrooms for speed.

Don't usually snack on Mondays because of weigh in.

Have a good day all!

whereareyousleep · 03/04/2017 08:23

Basin I managed to cut sugar out by first swapping to half spoon ( which is still syns but only half the amount) then gradually having less. I hate the taste of sweetener but I could cope with the amount in that.

whereareyousleep · 03/04/2017 08:30

Meant to add my door for today

B weetabix Minis and milk
L jacket potato, cottage cheese, salad
D lasagne
Syns :- white sauce for lasagne I don't like the slimming world version so would rather syn

Weigh in tomorrow aiming for 2lb had a sneaky weigh in yesterday and was the same as last week so bit disappointed as stuck to plan every day.

Have a good day everyone Smile

whereareyousleep · 03/04/2017 08:31

*food not door ffs

BasinHaircut · 03/04/2017 08:39

Ohh I forgot about half spoon (didn't know it still existed!) might try that.

Only 25 people in front of me now!

Shamoffour · 03/04/2017 09:17

Basin I've made that mistake before!
I think it's because a lot of blood tests are fasting blood tests so everyone gets there at the crack of dawn do they can have some breakfast!

I had a roast dinner yesterday and apple crumble and custard.
But that's all I had all day so hoping it might balance out.
I will have fewer syns today.

Groovee · 03/04/2017 09:39

Aw Basin. We make an appointment and we still ran late 😂

Welcome @moonshiner81

School holidays for me. Just chilling today.

BasinHaircut · 03/04/2017 09:42

It was a 120 person wait when I left! I asked the nurse what was the best time to come and she said it just gets busier so early is best. It's because we only have 2 hospitals now in a densely populated area and they are overwhelmed.

I'm home now but got to go out again in 40 mins and I'm not showered. Just scoffing my weetabix

ALemonyPea · 03/04/2017 09:45

Hope you're not waiting too long Basin.

My DC don't break up til Friday. It's freezing here today and could have done with stopping in my warm bed.

Food for me today:
B: omelette, mushrooms and an orange
D: SW mushroom soup with Stilton HEA and 2 ryvita HEB
T: fish, new pots and some form of veg

OP posts:
Groovee · 03/04/2017 10:03

Had 40g porridge mixed with water then added a yoghurt and fruit.
Sweet Potato Pakora for lunch with salad.
Risotto for tea.

Frouby · 03/04/2017 10:47

Morning all

Still feeling a bit meh about everything. I need to exercise but finding it difficult to fit in. Ds has chicken pox so mega grumpy and we are housebound. I think he will be well enough later for a little dog walk so that will be something. Plus am blitzing the house and doing a deep clean in the kitchen so that's something I suppose.

Not had too bad a weekend. I made tapas for Saturdays tea. It was all pretty sw friendly apart from a few splashs of oil here and there. It was really tasty too and we had left overs with jacket potatoes yesterday. Plus we scrubbed the decking so reckon I got a good hour of body magic in!

Todays food

B. Coffee
L. Will have to be soup, fridge is bare ready for cleaning
T. Steak, veg and parminter potatoes

Not sure on syns. Will be a few in pepper sauce. Hifi for b choice.

I have 4 months to shift another stone and tone up. Gulp.

ALemonyPea · 03/04/2017 11:03

Chicken pox are awful Frouby, luckily most kids get them just once. Hope your DC is nearly crusty so you can go out.

I'm not feeling overly great today, feel like I'm having an IBS flare up, not had one of those in years, so goodness knows what I've eaten.

BasinHaircut · 03/04/2017 11:11

Was about an hour and 20 mins in and out in the end lemony, could have been worse!

OwlinaTree · 03/04/2017 12:37

Morning all. Hope you are feeling ok lemony. Frouby I don't envy you, I get cabin fever if I have to stay in all day. Hope your ds is over it soon.

Today's food
B scrambled egg, raisin wheats
L Prawn salad, syns in dressings
D Tuna and cous cous

Weigh in tomorrow, I've been pretty good this week really, hoping I'll get the 1.5lb off to get my 2.5 stone award. I've started tracking exercise too using Fitbit and also Hula hooping everyday. New leader is encouraging us to do body magic awards so thought I'd give it a try!

Groovee · 03/04/2017 12:50

Aww @Frouby hope ds is ok x

alibongo5 · 03/04/2017 12:57

After a weekend of being off-plan but trying to hold it in check, I'm back on it today. Didn't go too mad at the weekend, considering both my son and daughter came home from London for my daughter's 21st with the resultant meal out, cake, champagne, wine and full roast dinner yesterday.

So far today, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, Will have a prawn salad for lunch, with more fruit and yoghurt afterwards. We're going to the theatre tonight and planning on visiting Wetherspoons for dinner first so that'll either be the Shanghai noodles again or the skinny steak, depending which I fancy. May or may not have a drink with it depending how strong my will is/how fat I'm feeling!

LavenderRains · 03/04/2017 18:51

Hi everyone. Well done on the losses. I can't weigh in this week due to work so that will be a 2 week gap when I go next week.
I've not been brilliant tbh, a few too many syns on some days but hopefully will even itself out, although I have a couple of meals out at the weekend. Time will tell.......
Today's menu
B; weetabix and milk (hexA&b)
D; yogurt, mango, satsumas, hifi bar
T; Beef stew
More mango

BasinHaircut · 03/04/2017 20:33

Come on ali! You think you are on for target this week?

Oh no lemony, I feel for you I used to suffer from IBS and the thought of a flare up fills me with dread. Do you think it might be surgery related?

Half a pound off for me tonight which I'm pleased with. Although I worked it out that it's the only weight I've actually lost in the last 4 weeks as I put on 1.5 over 2 weeks, then lost that same 1.5 last week, so tonight's 0.5 is my net loss in a month!

FaithAgain · 03/04/2017 21:09

Flowers for the IBS flare up Lemony. I'm suffer too. You're not weaning off strong painkillers are you?

Basin at least it's a net loss!

After my excess consumptions over the last couple of weeks (resulting 1/2lb on last week), I am reading Brain over Binge again to try to stop the behaviour. Currently ignoring the part of my brain that says it wants/needs sugar. I am stuffed with chilli and have had all my syns. I'm not even hungry! Will go and brush my teeth.

latedecember1963 · 03/04/2017 21:30

Hope you feel better soon, Lemony.
Weighed in this evening after a 3 hour drive home from N Wales. 1 lb gain but I'm hoping that's because of the evening WI. 15 weeks until we go on holiday so need to crack on this week. Didn't succumb to making frozen pizza from the freezer when I got in even though it was very tempting.

OwlinaTree · 03/04/2017 22:24

Well done on the loss basin. It's all in the right direction!

00100001 · 03/04/2017 22:26

-3.5lbs tonight

I got my Club 10 award 🏅

OwlinaTree · 03/04/2017 22:28

Well done binary!
