The meringues came out OK. Would have been better if I had whisked them a bit longer and they are VERY delicate but taste nice. Think I can detect a faint aftertaste of chick pea but not sure if notice it if I didn't know.

Ooh they look good basin I love a meringue (especially held together with fresh cream) Grin

ClashCityRocker · 19/02/2017 17:41

I hear good things about the haribo sweets.

Yup, Saturday was definitely a blip. I have a completely clear week and weekend next week so going to be positively angelic. It's just been a funny six weeks or so with various friends and family in need - unfortunately what they most often seem to be in need of is a good piss-up. Definitely ready for some quiet time.

They look good basin. How often do groups have tasters? We had one at the beginning of February.

Having the Kung pao chicken tonight that we were supposed to have last night. Hexb for cashew nuts, 4 Syns in total for walnut oil. It'd the one dish I've made that actually tastes better than the takeaway version.

Groovee · 19/02/2017 17:43

I'm 39 and still can't get jelly out of moulds

Chicken and Mushroom fakeaway went well!

muminthecity · 19/02/2017 17:59

The sweets look good Groovee, as does the chicken and mushroom - what is the green stuff next to it?

I bought this salad in Waitrose today - haven't eaten it yet. It's 5 syns but do you think I can knock a few syns off if I count the Halloumi as my HEA and don't use the dressing? I'm having it with a garlic chicken breast later. Will be a late dinner as I had a huge brunch at around 12.30 and I'm still stuffed!

My huge brunch. It was so tasty!

groovee I gave up with the tiny moulds and use silicone cup cake moulds and cut the sweets into wedges. Yours looks fab tho.

Groovester · 19/02/2017 18:32

Impressed with the meringues and the sweeties!

Emmageddon · 19/02/2017 18:36

Lovely photos of food, everyone, lots of inspiration for me. Smile Those meringues look fab, I must give them a try. Why are roasted chickpeas counted as a treat? I thought they were free?

I'm working tonight (short notice, someone has pulled a sickie) so am going to be very tired, and when I'm tired, I want CHOCOLATE. And as far as I know, there's no SW substitute, apart from a teeny weeny Hifi bar which is not the same as a family-size Galaxy Angry

loveslipstick · 19/02/2017 18:38

How do I make the sweets?

I'm so pleased the weight watcher wraps count as your HEb per one because I love a good wrap so I can have them still yay!

gooseygander88 · 19/02/2017 19:06

Yes another one asking for Haribo sweetie recipe :)
Back on plan today and rather impressed with myself partner had fish and chips at the sea side and I went prepared with sandwiches, snack crops (4.5syns) my cheese and fruit! And didn't crave any! Lancashire hot pot in the oven with lots of yummy veg too:)

Groovee · 19/02/2017 19:32

Recipe for the sweets. Can pm if you can't see it.

Green stuff is broccoli rice. Really liking it.

Still on plan (so far) today. This is big for me!

Overnight - alpen light (HexB1), squash
B - scrambled eggs, paprika Heck sausages (I had seven throughout the day Blush as I like them as snacks too) (1.75 syns for all), tomatoes, small slice of bread (other half HExB1), butter (2), coffee with milk (HExA1 in drinks throughout)
L - smoked salmon speedy salad, babybel light plus two more as snacks (HExA2), satsuma, banana, Lilt zero, tea
D - Tesco Healthy living ginger Lime and Chilli chicken breast (lovely - and free), SW chips, broccoli, mushrooms
S - 2 x hifi lights (HExB2), latte (HExA3), Cadburys snack (5), apple, grapes, carrot sticks

Think that gives me 9 syns, so have 6 left in case I'd like crisps later (Pops or Quavers). Or a drink! Wine

emwithme · 19/02/2017 20:56

Well I'm back - and back on plan! Had a lovely few days away at DH's cousin's wedding, it was a lovely day weddings are a bit shit if you're sober . We managed to get the in-laws on their own after about three hours on the first night (!) so we could tell them the news, which was handy because OMG I've felt so queasy. Fortunately the hotel had free "coffee stations" which had a lovely lemon and ginger tea available (so I've come home with a lot of stolen teabags Grin ) and ginger biscuits!

I just want to get back into target range this week so I can concentrate on growing a person; still being mindful of what I'm eating and trying to make sensible choices but without having to (a) stick to a diet plan or (b) pay while I'm gaining! Just need to be half a pound lighter than last week...so I've got three strict days coming up (and Tuesday and Wednesday are both planned to be SP days) and hopefully I won't have done too much damage with wedding cake and cheesecake and similar!

Frouby · 20/02/2017 07:44

Morning all

Been awol all weekend. Much gin, mcdonalds and curry been consumed. Feel lousy and bloated and bluergh this morning but an improvement on yesterday's mammoth hangover.

First one in 4 years. It's not for me lol.

Back with meal plans later when I have been shopping.

loveslipstick · 20/02/2017 08:44

WI this morning for me and have my first stone gone! 🙌🏻

BasinHaircut · 20/02/2017 09:05

Well done loves!

Hoping for my stone this evening too.

Just sticking dinner in the slow cooker - Guinness pulled pork for dinner tonight, mmmmmm

Groovester · 20/02/2017 09:06

Well done love

OrianaBanana · 20/02/2017 09:13

Well done loves!

Ooh Em I missed your news, big congratulations!! Grin

Groovee · 20/02/2017 09:24

Well done Love.

I decided to have porridge for breakfast. May never eat again Grin.

Mince in the slow cooker for mince and tatties for tea as Dd isn't here.

Not sure what I will have for lunch but lots in the cupboard and fridge to choose!

ALemonyPea · 20/02/2017 09:53

Well done Love.

Thanks for all your well wishes.

I'm hoping to get back on plan today. I've not had any appetite really since the op, so just having what I can stomach. DS1 is in charge of making all the food this week until DH gets home from work, as DH couldn't get this week off work, he is off next week though.

DH managed to make a crustless quiche for me yesterday, so that's today and tomorrow's lunch sorted for me, with some salad.

Hoping the fruit and veg will get things shifting, I've got awful trapped wind and constipation. Blush

Hi All

I'm new - not able to get to a class and don't really want to weigh in anyway (I have lymphodoema which means I have big swollen legs - they go up and down but don't want to be reliant on weight loss as I know I'll feel defeated if I don't 'lose' if I have a feeling it's because my legs are fluid logged again)

I want to rely more on how my clothes feel / how I look.

Can anyone recommend which books to buy for a complete beginner at SW please?

WaitrosePigeon · 20/02/2017 11:15

Welcome Play Smile

To be honest, a lot of good SW recipes you can find online. They do sell good books in the group though.

First week and 3.5lbs off ... I was hoping for more to be honest...

PlaymobilPirate · 20/02/2017 11:22

Thanks Waitrose - it was more for the explanation of how SW works etc really that I need a book / books :)
