Am keeping fingers crossed for my biovea! Ordered yesterday and due to be delivered on Monday by dhl. I didn’t realise, until I looked at the tracking details, that they’re actually coming from Bulgaria! So I’d actually be very surprised if they get here on Monday. Or at all. Firstly a 2 (free) working day delivery seems a bit optimistic, especially as it still will have to clear customs when it get here. But with pp who have said they’ve ordered and had stuff stopped at customs it doesn’t make me feel very hopeful. Even tho I needed to use the .net and not .com I think I was expecting the stock to already be in the uk with such a quick delivery timeframe.
all I can do is wait and see and closely follow the tracking over the weekend. It seems mad to come down on melatonin in this way since last year (my last order was in earlyish 24 and I’d ordered enough to last at least a year, so at some point between then and then going to place my order last year the rules seem to have been totally changed. It’s not an “illegal” drug in the uk and as far as I’m aware it hasn’t suddenly been given any class category. It worked well for years, no problems at all, and and then BOOM were blocked from buying from legit pharmacies and apparently customs pounce when they do come in. Has it become actually illegal to either sell to people in the uk, and illegal to export to ? Added to that I’m now not sure if it is now illegal to buy/import it? I’m pretty certain it’s not illegal to be in possession of it.
wouodnt be a problem if we were able to get it on prescription here - I’m sure the majority would take that option, but because it’s not then it’s madness. Especially as it has a positive affect for its prescribed uses. I think I must’ve been taking for at least 8 years - whist away in person, in Europe , or ordering online when not possible. I have no side effects, I researched intensively and should be able to make my own choices for my own health, especially if it isn’t actually illegal.
the side effects and danger aspects of the prescribed z-line of prescription sleeping tablets are causing far worse problems for me and my health, but melatonin is, what, dangerous !

@FoxRedPuppy it can definitely make your skin itch! You do get used to that. Unless you’ve immediately shaved your legs before using it it shouldn’t be too bad. I think if you use something like a foaming/creaming/nourishing type of saving gel (or whatever you find works for your skin type) that should help reduce the prickles/itchiness or hot feeling. The more you protect your skins barrier when shaving (and use sharp blades, as it’ll burn a whole lot more if you have had to go over areas a couple of times with a non sharp blade etc.
And always give your hands a double good wash after.
Some advice, don’t do what I did one day last year where I had freshly shaved legs, then unintentional sunburnt legs and I then needed to use the oil due to my particular symptoms starting. Don’t do that. DONT EVER DO THAT! I have suffered so that you lovely people don’t go down that route and discover that satan level of skin burning! Omg! I wanted to chop my own legs off!!

Thanks 🙏 These arrived totally fine for me, sadly don't do gummies and I don't know about quality yet as still have my piping rock order at moment. But they were very reasonable and fast delivery.

however, I was not at all surprised to see this when I got up earlier, customs have stopped them (can see it in the extended tracking details) so am now kind of resigned to thinking that they’re not going to turn up now. Do you know if your tracking showed this as well? But you still got them?

I found out today that a friend is on holiday in Florida and is there for the next 2 weeks. He’s told me he’ll bring some home for me so I’ve just ordered 10 tubs of 200 (for 3 of us) to be delivered to him to bring home.

Really hoping there are no issues doing it this way and I guess I’ll try to find someone on holiday annually to do similar, and I’ve got enough extra to give me leeway on the dates.

Oh also, I ordered from a website called Vitamin Grocer UK a few days ago. They are located in the US. I can see on the tracking history they have cleared uk customs!

@Itsasecretnowyes mine has this exclamation mark and was on hold at what looked like customs stage so still feeling positive for you.

I used to use Piping Rock and was gutted they no longer ship to the UK. I bought some 5mg gummies from Biovea a month ago and they seem OK. Does anyone know out of interest why Biovea are still shipping here but Piping Rock aren’t? Could Biovea pull the plug any day?

Have just looked and it now says processed at Heathrow, so should be on its way now! Have you used this brand before? How have you found the ones you bought?

It’s good that there seems about three companies on here that seem to be getting through customs, in case of any more difficulties in the future. I’ve never used biovea before, and have been mostly taking the same french brand for maybe almost 10 years now, so I’m hoping that at least one of the types that I’ve ordered helps, as none of them have the same make-up/ingredients that mine had. At least they’re not being delivered by Evri so I’m hopeful they’ll end up at the right address 😂

I’ve ordered capsules because that’s what I’ve always used, but what do you find about the gummies and how they work? Do you find they’re more effective?

I always had the Piping Rock slow release tablets which kind of melt in your mouth, no chewing or gulping down in one required. I went for the gummies as I though they would be similar. They seem to be doing the trick so far.

Thank you for your Biovea suggestions - I placed an order on Friday which has just arrived! Now to experiment with different types and quantities of melatonin to find that sweet spot for sleep!

Mine have also arrived today - after the delay at customs over the weekend! Very relieved! I have bought a selection so I’m hoping that at least one of them helps. Will try the first tonight and see what happens. I’m almost nocturnal by now and it’s killing me!

Thank you. How are you finding them so far? Mine did arrive today - hurrah! - so tonight I’ll start trying the first ones, that are nearer to my usual in strength and then try the other types/strengths as I go along and see which works the best.

They seem to be working OK. I started them before finishing my Piping Rock ones just in case they didn’t work. Mine are the 5mg ones but after reading the comments on here about less is more, I will order some lower dosage ones next time.

i am VERY happy to confirm that this order arrived today without issue. So took a week max from order to arriving. I don’t like the flavour as much as the piping rock ones (I had the fast dissolve mixed berry ones) but they’ll do as long as they work. Guess I’ll find out in 20 mins if they work as well lol!

Wow there are so many on that website to choose from. Which did you go for (assuming the mixed berry ones you mentioned were the Piping Rock ones)?
