He's nearly 7. I'm still waiting...

anotherwayout · 15/05/2021 15:44

Baby 1: 10 days
Baby 2: still waiting (she's 10 months old but showing absolutely no signs she will ever sleep through)

Nitw1t · 15/05/2021 15:45

First term of Reception. Sorry. You have my sympathy.

kowari · 15/05/2021 15:45

Not as a baby or toddler. He was two and a half.

Bluntness100 · 15/05/2021 15:47

Eleven weeks, she was formula fed though.

ivykaty44 · 15/05/2021 15:47

Dd1 at 8 weeks
Dd2 at 4 weeks

Had more sleepless nights with dd1 as a teen...

Level75 · 15/05/2021 15:49

6.5.
Years.

DancesWithDaffodils · 15/05/2021 15:49

He still doesnt, I dont believe, aged 12 (years). If I'm awake in the middle of the night, I often hear him.
From about 4 years, he knew not to come and wake us unless there was a big problem.

Amammai · 15/05/2021 15:49

Slept through as in no waking at all from bedtime to morning- about 6months. It was a fluke. He did it occasionally from then on, just often enough to give us hope 😂 but never ever consistently. Now 3.5 and he sleeps through more often but still not every night. BUT compared to the rough ride of the first couple of years his sleep is so much better and I don’t feel like a zombie !!

Tryingtryingandtrying · 15/05/2021 15:50

4 years 4 years 4.5 years

eurochick · 15/05/2021 15:50

19 months

ohidoliketobe · 15/05/2021 15:52

Depends on your definition of sleeping through - do you mean a decent 5/ 6 hours solid block asleep, or going from bedtime to a decent wake up time (e.g. 7pm - 7am) with no waking? I've always used the latter as my definition. DC1 it was c18 months, and DC2 it was 3 years old.

RubaDubMum89 · 15/05/2021 15:53

She's 4 now, we're still waiting Sad

Fixitup2 · 15/05/2021 15:54

My eldest is 9 and I’m still waiting for him to sleep through.
Youngest was 17 months.

firstimemamma · 15/05/2021 15:54

Every so often - ten months.
Consistently- 1 year old.

Breastfed, in cot and zero sleep training.

Groovee · 15/05/2021 15:54

Dd 9.30pm to 5.30am 13 weeks
Ds 8.30pm to 7.30am 3.5 years 😭

HavfrueDenizKisi · 15/05/2021 15:54

Reliably post 6/7 months when they're weaned a bit on solids plus a good amount of milk. Then they both slept 7-6/7 the majority of nights.

Obviously this varied with illnesses etc.

Then there's a phase of nightmares as a toddler; then the not wanting to go to sleep as a three yr old, then the 4am starts as 4 yr olds. Once they start school it seems more consistent.

😫

Sexnotgender · 15/05/2021 15:55

13 months.

MumofSpud · 15/05/2021 15:57

DS- 4 or 5 years old - sorry can't remember exactly as lack of sleep completely broke me. He also screamed from 5-10 pm.
So this is why we had a large age gap.

DD- slept / ate line a textbook.
However she is now a teen and I am 'suffering' - I would prefer the baby years!!

Twickerhun · 15/05/2021 15:57

Nearly 3 years old sleeps through 1 night in 10. 4.5 year old sleeps through 9 nights in 10. Never both slept through every night.

Sleep is for the weak. It’s not necessary. Life fuelled on coffee is fine.

BendingSpoons · 15/05/2021 15:58

DD 11m. Slept through 10+ hours almost every night since then, only waking us if she is ill. (Now 5)
DS 12m. Sleeps through 10+ consistently, waking in the night once or twice a month. (Now 2)

Peachypips78 · 15/05/2021 16:00

Baby 1 - 6 weeks
Baby 2 - 3 years

It's not always what you do- sometimes it's just them!

Orangebug · 15/05/2021 16:01

DC1 - from 12 months sometimes, but he was around 3 when it started happening reliably every night
DC2 - 12 weeks
DC3 - I honestly can't remember. It's all a blur!

Sheldock · 15/05/2021 16:01

DC1- first time was aged 4.5yrs. Now aged 15 and still doesn't reliably sleep through, requires melatonin to fall asleep. Dx'd with sleep disorder aged 8.
DC2- first time at 10 months. Reliably by about 12 months. Now aged 11 and seems fine apart from the odd night terror every few weeks...which wakes DC1 up...

namechange202086 · 15/05/2021 16:01

Age 3 years for both
