Are you ok op? It's so hard isn't it?

SJMACC · 15/05/2021 19:08

Oh my goodness, when I clicked on this thread I was hoping to have some reassurance that sleeping through would happen soon! You have my full sympathy op as DS is 15 weeks old and has just started waking every hour 😩😭 it’s so so hard, the lack of sleep is brutal

Hirewiredays · 15/05/2021 19:13

1st at 3 months
2nd at 9 months
3rd at 6 months

Whitewolf2 · 15/05/2021 19:14

Around 1 year they COULD do it, however from there it was by no means guaranteed! There were various poor sleep stages, particularly potty training or just bad dreams… but no where near like the crazy early days

seepingweeping · 15/05/2021 19:16

Ds 4 weeks old
Dd 3 weeks old

newlabelwriter · 15/05/2021 19:19

Half way through Reception! Although my other DC was about 6 months

DecorChange · 15/05/2021 19:24

Dd was 4 months.
Ds1 was 3 years
Ds2 18 months

Its all different

Cookerhood · 15/05/2021 19:37
  1. 4 months
  2. A year
  3. About a year I think
PinkDaffodil2 · 15/05/2021 19:39

18 months ish is probably when we went to sleeping through more often than not. Breast fed though so the one wake per night was just a five minute feed. About 20 months we stopped feeding overnight but still wakes about once a week and is cuddled for a bit.

Crowsandshivers · 15/05/2021 19:41

4 years and still waiting....

yikesanotherbooboo · 15/05/2021 19:43

Middle child from about 7 months but the other two never did in childhood.

krj2688 · 15/05/2021 19:44

Baby one. 7months
Baby two 2.5 years old

Tired1980 · 15/05/2021 19:45

Baby 1: 4 years old.
Baby 2: 2 years old

Hushabyelullaby · 15/05/2021 19:46

8 weeks

Hardbackwriter · 15/05/2021 19:47

DS1 - 8 months, but that was after gentle sleep training. He'd never slept more than 3 hours in a go before that, and that was a 'good' night...

DS2 - is now 12 weeks and to my utter astonishment has slept 7.30-5.30 on three separate occasions - but not in a row, and I'm not expecting it to last! Gosh it's a very different (read: piss easy) experience having a baby if you're not knackered, though!

MrsCremuel · 15/05/2021 19:47

16 months, breastfed, fed to sleep and no sleep training. Also nailed naps at this time.

Megan2018 · 15/05/2021 19:48

Just after 18 months
Before then it was occasional. It got progressively better from 15 months, regressions aside.

thesugarbumfairy · 15/05/2021 19:48

Never.
My toddlers started sleeping through at 2 and a half. At the same time they dropped their naps.

BabyBunnyMama · 15/05/2021 19:48

On and off from around 8 months and then consistently from about a year 😊

Quornflakegirl · 15/05/2021 19:49

With a dream feed at 10:30 my twins slept through at 11 weeks and 14 weeks.
With no dream feed, they slept 6:30-7:30 at 7 months.

BabyBunnyMama · 15/05/2021 19:49

On and off from about 8 months then consistently from about a year old 😊

Stroopwaffle5000 · 15/05/2021 19:49

6 years old. She's now 9 and can't get to sleep until 11pm every night 😫😫

BlackLambAndGreyFalcon · 15/05/2021 19:49

How do you define STTN? DD from 6 months did 8pm-5am, then had a feed and then went back down again until 7.30am-ish. That counts by some people's definition as STTN, but I wouldn't really count it as (although I wasn't complaining!). She did the odd night of missing the 5am feed, but didn't consistently drop it until 12 months.

hippidyhiphip · 15/05/2021 19:50

5 weeks and 12 weeks, thank god. As I'm evil on not enough sleep.

Crowsaregreat · 15/05/2021 19:50

Dc1 13 months. Dc2 9 months. That's when we sleep trained and they slept through pretty much from then. The little monkeys still wake stupidly early though.
