Phew - apparently it's started snowing at last.
I'm determined to meet a MN-er on a ski holiday, so please sign in.....

Us - Plan-Peisey in March with Esprit....

Ooh - we're going on Sunday to Les Deux Alpes with Mark Warner !

End of March - Alpe d'huez (half term break looks unlikely this year )

LIZS - is that unlikely due to poor snow?

No, we hope to move and so both time and finances may be tied up in that ! Also we were too late looking at flights and they now cost £££ for that week.

Not sure what happened with the coffee ! ?Kids still on holidays until next week.

Just spent the last two weeks in Courcheval, ( back NY eve) the snow was fine, the weather brilliant.

DS is a ski instructor in Canada and they have closed the resort as they have too much snow!

La pLagne 14th Jan Ski esprit

Week in Sestriere (Italy) is just over a week's time working for the local UK ski club. We've been going there for about 5 years, and conditions have been 'variable': we're due a good week!

Then first full week in Feb taking DS to the Dolomites - should be fun as despite being only 5 he'll ski anything and keep going all day

Overall a bit less than the 4 or 5 weeks I normally do, but ds2/dd is due late March so MrsLSG is not skiing this year so we can't have too much fun Although she has suggested maybe a late week in Norway may be a possibility .....

tomorrow to Les Deux Alpes shhhh don't tell anyone but i'm leaving my DH and DC behind...freedom...snow...mulled wine...big fat hotel room all to myself...bliss (er, i will miss them tho')

A few words of warning (obtained from my DS at university). The British Universities Snowsports Easter trip this year is to Les Deux Alpes from 31st March. Last year there were 2,300 UK students on this trip!

We are going to Chateaux D'oex at half term. DS and I will be having beginner lessons. The rest of the family will be disappearing up the hill.
