(Apologies if there's already a thread on this directly to HQ but I couldn't see one.)

Anyway you know all know who I mean - egregiously offensive posts that would automatically be considered trolling on here so why is she allowed to post on the FB topics???

Genuine question...

please do
before I really loose my temper.

kittywise · 10/06/2010 17:47

who?

RockRose · 10/06/2010 17:51

eh? what facebook topics? Do i need to have facebook to find out?

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 10/06/2010 18:19

I don't know whether you should or can block her, but I've certainly unLiked Mumsnet on FB now because I can't take reading her nasty little witterings any more (although I suspect she has friends who have Liked Mumsnet too and will just carry on stirring from a distance if she goes).

MinnieMummy · 10/06/2010 18:21

There's a MN page on FB and if you're a 'fan' of it certain threads appear on your news feed. There is one individual who consistently posted pro-BNP comments in the election run up and basically said all mothers were idiots who should be denied the vote, now she is spouting vile and ignorant rubbish about children with disabilities, feminists - if she were posting direct on MN the posts would be removed and as far as I understand it she'd be removed as a member - so why not on the MN FB page??

Surely this gives Mumsnetters a bad name. People may think we are all like her! Cant she be blocked?

Is this an ex MNer?

PortiaNovmerriment · 10/06/2010 18:44

I've just blocked her from my facebook, so I never have to read her bilge- but yes, I think MN should do the same if they know she is not making parents' lives easier. Facebook and Mumsnet are supposed to be fun afterall, not high blood pressure-inducing.

ShowOfHands · 10/06/2010 18:48

korma. It's a different group. mumsnet.com I think.

it's important thatbyou do this MN; it could so negatively affect your nown status- think about it, some journo goes for her, she is reported as having 'said on teh mumsnet facebook apge that she would advocate making infanticide legal'.

By mums for mums, or by psycho's for psycho's? Whcih would it appear.

personally she doesn't upset me; she is clearly barking. however she could cause MN's rep a lot of collaterel damage. rockets to leabanon wuldn't even start it to be frank!.

Am not a mn fan on fb but have read of her comments on the other thread and have read her blog (or parts thereof at least).

I don't think the posts should be allowed to stand but having said that, I assume that her views are at least challenged by everyone else on the thread? If so then will she really give mn a bad rep? There are idiots everywhere and as long as the majority view seems to counter what she is saying am not sure that it will affect mn's reputation.

If on the other hand her posts are being ignored then yes I can see that people might form an opinion of mn based on that.

That's not to say that I don't think she should be banned/blocked/whatever needs to be done to get rid of her, the individual (I guess it's questionable whether it is male or female) is vile and no tears would be shed if she was dispatched, so to speak.

PussinJimmyChoos · 10/06/2010 19:13

Oh that is disgusting!

There are other comments on there about dropping disabled children on their heads as well....

Surely these people should be booted off of fb??

Oh it would be brilliant if there was some way MN could block (just like individuals can) so that she can carry on posting but noone would be able to see it.
This ridiculous specimen is so desperate for attention it would be fantastic if she could just become invisible and not even realise!

ANTagony · 10/06/2010 19:39

I've just been looking for the judges comments on when freedom of speech oversteps the line for the Wooten Bassett protest Islamic group thing.

Surely this is the same thing? The opinions are not just ones that make people uncomfortable they are suggesting 'insight to' doing illegal and immoral acts. They cause enormous offense.

as i posted on the other thread, i want her blocked and her comments removed.
I do not wish to see her vile outpourings stated as a representation of MN on the Wright stuff or the daily mail or whatever.

she is probably one of the most digusting beings i have ever come across.

PussinJimmyChoos · 10/06/2010 19:58

It is appalling..I tried to report her but it only came up as reporting the Mumsnet fbk site which I don't want to report as it is not their fault...

MNHQ - boot 'er out please! She is vile and the one who said about dropping disabled childrens on their heads

Words fail me

GypsyMoth · 10/06/2010 20:01

they were very silent the other day as well when some posters were laughing at dc/people who were hermophrodite.......took into the next day for the vile thread to be pulled.....seems that MNHQ like the negative attention!!
