Someone asked a while back for PW's blog and I don't think they've been given it yet. It's this one msrowandavies.blogspot.com/, isn't it?

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 02/04/2009 16:12

PW - I just want to say how awesomely well you are doing juggling all these different topics and questions and techno-stuff and all in an alien environment.
I'd be a slime-trail of cerebral-matter on the floor by now in your situation!

Bramshott · 02/04/2009 16:25

Has anyone seen the G20 Bingo in yesterday's Times 2? I nearly pmsl when it got to "The Judean People's Front - they've got to be there somewhere!"

policywonk · 02/04/2009 16:42

Well, for a politics fiend who's never done this sort of thing before, a press conference with the PM ought to be pretty exciting... but it wasn't really.

Communique is now out

Tax justice man is happy - they're going to publish today a list of non-compliant tax havens and take steps towards sanctions.

Amount of money allocated to IMF (major source of development funds) is, I think, more than expected, but as always with IMF, a lot will depend on the conditions attached to the loans. Waiting for the NGO perspective on other development funds as it's very technical stuff.

Knowing how you're all vv interested in SDRs, here's the top line: 'a general SDR allocation that will inject $250 billion into the world economy... and urgent ratification of the Fourth Amendment.' That's a load off, eh?

John Pienaar wants to talk to me about Mumsnet so stand by your radios

OP posts:
JuxaLOTmoreChocolate · 02/04/2009 16:47

Do you know what time?

policywonk · 02/04/2009 17:02

OK, John Pienaar bit is for Up All Night tonight at some point, plus JP's blog tomorrow

Nothing concrete on low-carbon stuff that anyone can find - pretty much as we thought

gizmo · 02/04/2009 17:04

Maybe I should put in a petition to be Mumsnet's man on the spot in Copenhagen?

fuddlepuck · 02/04/2009 17:13

I can't really tell what is going on (on twitter, here, blog), but i'll figure it out soon. However excellent, keep up the good work!

policywonk · 02/04/2009 17:45

OK, apologies in advance for the John Pienaar thing - he said very firmly that mumsnet is a politics site and also only wanted to talk about domestic politics. The man is a human steamroller.

OP posts:
fuddlepuck · 02/04/2009 17:50

Sorry? We do domestics here, don't we? Was he mean to you PW?

Habbibu · 02/04/2009 18:20

Posted this on wrong thread:

Am listening on listen again right now, pw. Nice voice too.

And as for Pienaar being a politics site - tell him to try this thread

ahundredtimes · 02/04/2009 18:31

Oh PW. You doing good gal.

Sorry, have been out all day. Have missed everything. Will go to listen again. And Up All Night too! You'll have a job on R5 with any luck by the end of the week - then I can ring you up every day and you can take my calls from Northampton, and allow me to share my every thought with the nation.

What did he mean about it being a politics site? I don't understand that.

Swedes · 02/04/2009 19:08

It's very hard to hijack the agenda and say what you want to really say - because it's politie to answer people's questions. Politicians always hijack the agenda and never answer the questions that are asked of them. It is quite an art form isn't it?

Swedes · 02/04/2009 19:09

Politics site? Mumsnet - politics for cunts.

ruty · 02/04/2009 19:12

and for Absolute Wankers Swedes...

morningpaper · 02/04/2009 19:15

SOOO what do I need to listen to? Does anyone have Useful Links?

Swedes · 02/04/2009 19:16

Baileys - the cream
Cadbury's Dairy Milk - a glass and a half of full cream milk in every bar
Mumsnet - politics for cunts
