Promised Save the Children that we'd link to their film, part of the campaign Knock Some Sense into Them, aimed at putting children on world leaders' agenda. If you click here then on the page that appears click on 'download now securely' you'll get the film.

MakeHayNotWar · 02/04/2009 14:06

Jeez is anyone watching Bob Geldof on the live feed? I do not like the man.

policywonk · 02/04/2009 14:12

Giz, I've let you down, I've let mumsnet down, but most of all I've let myself down. Just been to an Ed Miliband press conference and asked a question, but it's only now I've got back that I've remembered your stuff about renewables. Sorry.

I asked him whether, given the perception that climate change is being sidelined at the conference, there were any specific measures he would be able to point to in the communique to show that carbon issues were still on the agenda here. And then he waffled at me for a bit.

Press conferences here are very frustrating because they can always just say 'wait for the communique'. But we know that the communique (where climate change is concerned) is going to be more waffle.

Ach, don't bother about it, PW. You asked the fundamental question, I think, and the one that Ed Miliband is going to get a lot in the next 24 hours.

And I hope he gets a bloody headache from waffling around the answer

snice · 02/04/2009 14:20

PW can you walk about for a bit in front of the live feed now? Cos if you get interviewed you couldn't be worse that Sir Bob was

Live feed is pretty interesting at the moment, interview with milliband.

MamaHobgoblin · 02/04/2009 14:33

lol at Justabout.

Wow, that's fab!

gizmo · 02/04/2009 14:35

I think you should go on the Beeb and give a nice summary of the SDR, just to Make The Point that Mumsnet is not all about fingerpainting.

Or you can skewer Ed Miliband, if the mood takes you

georgimama · 02/04/2009 14:39

Hee hee, it's like that moment at the end of the last Doctor Who series where they flashed up the Doctor's phone number and loads of fanboys ran off and rang it!

policywonk · 02/04/2009 14:41

Yes, poor Maxine

There's only one REAL policywonk
