Could we have a dedicated Flight Radar thread in Fun and Games?

Could we please have a Flight Radar (or flight tracking) topic? Would probably sit well in Fun & Games.

Last night's Storm Dave shenanigans showed just how many of us are avid Flight Radar users.

What are your criteria for deciding this? From my POV, individual threads are or can often be missed, whereas if there's a specific topic I can go searching for any threads about Flight Radar (or tracking in general). And people may want to start more than one thread - e.g. the thread from the other day which was specifically about Storm Dave and the impact on UK airports.

... and of course FlightRadar is just one app, and other posters may be using and/or linking to others.

Yes agreed. There are plenty of individual threads already @BeckyAMumsnet . It makes no sense for future conversations about flight tracking to just be added to an existing thread about one instance of flight tracking.

I’d like that too. We could start a new thread for each major event that comes along so the threads stay current, instead of resurrecting old ones and people missing or duplicating conversations. I like the idea of another for marine tracking and something for travel by other means. And Santa tracking, of course!

Just realised how apt my current username is for this discussion! Maybe we should have a topic for Fairies and Sprites as well 😁
