The app isn’t working properly on iPad

It looks like the app has autoupdated to the new version - the Active/watching etc buttons are now at the top rather than the bottom which is much less easy to use. But the big problem is that I can read but not reply or start a new thread (I’m having to do this in the browser which is much less easy to read) and none of the settings buttons seem to be responding,

I logged out and in again, that didn’t help.

Correction - Some of the settings buttons are working, the two I tried were app feedback and contact Mumsnet, because I wanted to report this issue.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with the app since the update yesterday. The update was a small one and didn't contain any changes to how the app looks or works so this shouldn't be happening for you. Would you be able to take a screenshot of the issue so we can dig into it further?

Would you also be able to try deleting the app and reinstalling it from the App Store to see if that resolves it?

I just came on to check this as I am experiencing the same problem. I just went to reply to a post (reply option now at top of page) and nothing happened. No box popped up to reply in and no virtual keyboard.

No problem, thanks for providing the screenshot.
The toolbar was at the bottom of the screen before (and all worked).
The other difference I've noticed which is not an improvement is that filtering OPs posts now appear in a smaller pop up window rather than the whole screen so less easy to read through.

Deleted and reinstalled. Still the same issues.

But there are fundamental changes! The easy to access things at the bottom are now in the harder to access top.

I too have these issues, cant reply using the app and OP’s messages appear in pop up window. Also buttons moved to the top. I have to go onto the browser to send this 😟

Yeah it’s a bit crap. Not very user friendly. And … the reply button is still kaput🙄 Am currently on the browser.

Same problem here on iPad mini running iPadOS 18.3.1.

I’ve reinstalled the app which has made no difference, unable to reply or make new threads, like other users when I click the reply button nothing at all happens.

Having to use the browser version via Safari to make this post.

But here you go, I have clicked on ‘New’ lots of times and nothing has happened, it’s like the app doesn’t register that there is even a button there, it doesn’t throw an error message or highlight or anything.

I've just come on here to report the same issues.
I'm using the app on an iPad. 18.3.1.
My buttons moved to the top yesterday and now the reply button doesn't work.
I've just deleted and reinstalled the app and it's still the same.
