Rather than deleting troll threads .. could we move them to a 'Troll section'

and change the colour of them (say to red) so that people can actually see quite how perniciously nasty or weird some of the trolls can be and why other people get so up in arms about the potential of them

Sort of into quarantine?

Carmenere · 26/02/2008 18:08

Oh that is a good idea, like a mn sin-bin
Although I can see it being viciously abused.......

bonkerz · 26/02/2008 18:08

to read at our leisure when we should be doing housework! Fab idea!

Ledodgy · 26/02/2008 18:09

Green for troll section I If for example 10 people shout troll we can click on the green bin icon? Although it may turn into a Crucible type of senario.

FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 18:11

I think this would be mortifying for the perpetrators

considering many of them are probably mentally ill I think it could be a cruel thing to do

Twiglett · 26/02/2008 18:12

I think 99% of them are actually just malicious or teenagers tbh

i missed it too. i think someone pretended to have a premature baby but hunker hunted down the troll and cast her back beneath the bridge.

expatinscotland · 26/02/2008 18:38

Someone calling her/himself MrsGG came on here, Pruners, claiming to be a victim of domestic violence and about 24 weeks pregnant.

Then she said she went into premature labour as a result.

A couple of days later, she posted a birth announcement, claiming she'd given birth to a very premature baby girl.

She later posted photos of her supossed baby.

But a worldly-wise hunker soon discovered that the photos of her baby were actually of a German baby called Kimberly Mueller, and the other photo was a different baby in a different hospital, and kindly provided us with links.

She and PPH also noticed that MrsGG's post about the birth announcement had been cut and pasted from iVillage.

So that was MrsGG rumbled.

You know, Twiggy, I'm sad to say I think you're right.

I went out with a bloke who thought doing stuff like this was funny.

He didn't need help, he needed a kick in the arse.

Some of the posts were very remniscent of trolls past, Pruners. Particularly the 'OMG, MY WATERS HAVE BROKEN!'
