Is it the standard notification you get from iPhone?

If you find out a password has been compromised, don't panic! It doesn't mean a hacker has gained access to your account. It simply means Apple has found your information in a data breach, and you should change your password immediately. Security recommendations will be listed in order of priority
How to view compromised passwords

iCloud keychain typically notifies you about potential data breaches through push notifications if you have them enabled on your iPhone or your iPad. If you don’t have push notifications enabled, you can still view the information on the Security Recommendations page in settings. Here’s how to find it:

Open Settings on your iPhone.
Scroll down and tap Passwords.
Choose Security Recommendations.
You’ll either see a list of things to fix or no issues found on this page. If you find out a password has been compromised, don’t panic! It doesn’t mean a hacker has gained access to your account. It simply means Apple has found your information in a data breach, and you should change your password immediately.

Security recommendations will be listed in order of priority. At the top will be passwords that have been exposed, and at the bottom will be passwords iPhone views as weak or ones that have been reused, and you should consider strengthening.

Hi @simbaya and apologies for the delay, we're dealing with a large number of reports at the moment. We'll reply to your email as soon as we can.

SpinstileTurnstile · 07/06/2022 16:23

@Hardertobreathe I think that MNHQ sent the email address and possibly other private details of @Simbaya to a potential troll who reported one of her posts, in contravention of the DPA/GDPR, and @Simbaya needs to know the details of that to try to protect herself.

Who has her data? Why did that person report her? What did they allege about her? Etc.

It's very worrying.

No. It's where some lovely users reported my post and were then given my email address.

Runningnewbie · 07/06/2022 17:52

Wtf!

Simbaya · 07/06/2022 17:53

What breach I was reported for, I have no idea. Just that three users who don't like me, now know who I am.

OP posts:
Happygirl79 · 07/06/2022 17:54

OMG how can this be allowed to happen?. Perhaps its time to leave this site?

Simbaya · 07/06/2022 17:54

I'm not even allowed to be told what I've done wrong. But three users now know my name and they are THREE users who did not like me to start with or they wouldn't have 'reported' me.

How does one find out if their data has been breached?

Simbaya · 07/06/2022 17:56

NOT ACCEPTABLE.

OP posts:
mooshed · 07/06/2022 17:57

OMG how did they get your email, was it a group email?

sittingonacornflake · 07/06/2022 17:59

That's awful!!

AlternativePerspective · 07/06/2022 18:01

Not acceptable, obviously. But how did you find out?

LimesandClementines · 07/06/2022 18:02

There's a thread in site stuff if anyone wants further details

AlternativePerspective · 07/06/2022 18:03

I’ve not seen your username before today, so I can only guess which thread it was where users took exception.

Hardertobreathe · 07/06/2022 18:23

OMG!

DarkDarkNight · 07/06/2022 18:29

Wow, what the hell Mumsnet? Didn’t this happen once before with a rogue temp passing on details from the feminist thread?

Is this a breach like that or have Mumsnet officially given details?

SpinstileTurnstile · 07/06/2022 18:39

It’s a breach. They (MNHQ) have referred themselves to the ICO.

I mean, I think that's their bare minimum legal duty isn't it? So I should bloody hope they have!
