No. I don't think it's possible. Unless you manually cope and paste the one quote you want to respond to.

It would be useful if it just quoted the last post in the chain, not all the nested quoted bits.

Just hide AIBU and then you never have to see it because people don't use it most everywhere else.

I don't think you can do it (have nested quotes) in the app.

However, MN still haven't fixed the problem when you quote & it just adds the new comment onto the quoted part, often leaving parts out.

With the double spaced quotes it means you have to scroll down 5 times to read a post.

Yeah same! If there are more than 3 people/3 posts quoted - I am like 😫

I miss the olden days when people just copied and pasted the part of the post that was particularly relevant to their own comment.
Threads full of quoted posts that everyone has already read are really annoying.
While we're here, I miss the automatic capitalisation of the letter following a full stop.

If you're reading the posts fully, then there's no need of a quote system in the first place.

I think multi level quoting will die down once we all stop enjoying our new toy, you have to give things a chance to bed in sometimes.
