MN very slow and keep getting this error message

Been having problems with mn this morning, it is horrendously slow and then I keep getting this error message as well
Not sure if it is just me
I am on iPad safari using desktop (because I cannot access the mobile site)

Ahh! me too! And I could see new posts previews on threads in the 'I'm on' section but when I actually clicked the thread, the new messages were not actually there. Strange

Me too! I've been having loads of problems the last couple of days on android app (which is rubbish at the best of times) so now using mobile site on chrome still v slow.

Hi guys, we just made another release which unfortunately led to a brief outage, but hopefully will resolve the speed problems we've been having recently.

Has anyone noticed any improvements in speed on the app or site?

We made a change to the way the app loads threads I'm on, so if you're using the app, could you check it's working correctly?

Compared to earlier it's like lightning now, but it's easy to see improvements when it felt like I had dial up due to the slow speeds and lagging from before. 😂

I think it is a bit faster when you click on a thread. Not faster choosing a topic. I don't care as long as it loads fairly fast!

Mine is still no good, it keeps saying issues with Chrome but everything else works OK. Android app.
Those video ads take for ever to load

Mine keeps failing to connect and I had my ds checking all the internet settings despite him saying his gaming was fine so internet was fine.

He wasn't impressed with his interrupted gaming.

I was less impressed with my interrupted MNing Grin

Same here in the App on iPhone XS iOS 14.4.
Have tried it on WiFi & mobile data & have even rebooted, logged off WiFi but it still loads slow or tells me I'm not connected to the internet....

Seems to be working ok now, although some threads seem to be taking a while to load. Only seems to be MN where i'm having problems.

Been getting the error this morning, too.

The troubleshooting link says this if I click it -

Error 525: SSL handshake failed

525 errors are often caused by a configuration issue on the origin web server. Error 525 occurs when these two conditions are true: the SSL handshake fails between Cloudflare and the origin web server, and Full or Full (Strict) SSL is set in the Overview tab of your Cloudflare SSL/TLS app.

Resolution

Contact your hosting provider to exclude the following common causes at your origin web server:

No valid SSL certificate installed
Port 443 (or other custom secure port) is not open
No SNI support
The cipher suites accepted by Cloudflare does not match the cipher suites supported by the origin web server

If 525 errors occur intermittently, review the origin web server error logs to determine the cause. Configure Apache to log mod_ssl errors. Also, nginx includes SSL errors in its standard error log, but may possibly require an increased log level.
