I just came here to post about that.

It’s a new pop up asking permissions for cookies. I don’t want to consent to any so change the options and ‘submit’ but it comes back every single time I go in the site, and it doesn’t remember the settings I’ve chosen so I have to change them and ‘submit’ every time I visit!

Me too. And it is irritating because I’d previously gone through and declined all the advertising cookies so it’s resetting that and I cba to have to reset all those every time coz it takes ages. (Or maybe that’s the strategy?)

(and it’s regarding advertising cookies, so not consenting to the ones listed shouldn’t be the reason I have to do it each time).

Can’t believe this is back to requesting it so often AND resettting your choices every time. Mumsnet this is simply not acceptable!
In the last 5 minutes I have been required to resubmit my data choices 3 times, not to mention that your NON COMPLIANT system means I have to click 44 times to ensure you do not share my information with very man and his dog. Completely unacceptable that they still have not put a reject all button.

Yep twice last night and again this morning. And still no ‘Reject All’ option.

It takes a long time to go through and reject each one.

Safari on iPad, and the same here. We had all this in the autumn and in the end I deleted my account because of it. Massive GDPR implications here with preferences not being saved or acted on.

Just bring in a Reject All button, like many other sites I use, and sort out the iOS incompatibility.

I too have had the cookie message and again immediately after just completing it and submitting. It is a nuisance, fiddly, time-consuming and off-putting.

Come on MNHQ, be kind to your people and give us a Reject All option. So many other websites do that, even ones who are seen as 'lesser'!

The most important thing you should consider @MNHQ is you are hindering those Mumsnetters who need to clear their search history after every time they use this site or do other sensitive searches. I'm not talking about just for privacy - I'm talking about for personal safety, even life, for those in domestic violence, domestic abuse or coercive control situations. They really need the Reject All option and asap. This is especially so during lockdown when they are more likely to be cooped up with their abusers.

This isn’t the first time it has happened. Why has it suddenly come back and needing cookie consent every time?

@BabbleBee I beleive the ‘excuse’ previously was that they were adding/amending vendors.... I just had to do it all again to revisit this thread about it 🙄

@OHolyTights too true! They seem to purposefully make it difficult to preserve our privacy and it certainly is not compliant without a reject all button.

Yes, I am also suffering with this irritating pop up, almost every time I change page or Board on iPad with Safari.

This all happened and was sorted out only a couple of months ago, so the technical crew must know how to resolve the same problem this time.

This is at least the second time this has happened for me as well. It’s is irritating and is forcing me to just keep accepting consents unless I want to constantly reject them.

Sorry mnhq but this happening to me too, every time I come to mn it is asking me this screenshot I did
I just accept all but it still appears every time

It's really getting on my nerves, in fact I've left the site numerous times after visiting because I can't be bothered to go through the cookie settings. Why doesn't it remember the settings I've chosen and rejected? It's as if the site is trying to convince me to agree to them all!

I feel a bit annoyed because I went through and deselected everything which took ages. And now it’s asking again. It feels a bit like a deliberate ploy to get us not to deselect the advertising stuff.

It’s every few minutes now. It’s not saving my preferences each time, so it’s effectively forcing me to allow a load of cookies I don’t want to in order to carry on using the site. I deregistered my account then, and am on the brink of doing the same now.

It was every few mins when I reported it and now again.

Best give up for the night!
