New emails about updates

Why are there so many new emails telling me there’s an update on a thread? Why would anyone want an email on this? We can go to the site and check ‘I’m on’.

It seems a bit counterintuitive as all it’s made me do is unsubscribe from everything. They’re still coming though - I’ve had several today.

It’s extremely irritating and it’s making me want to delete my account. There’s no end to them! Despite unsubscribing, they are still coming through.

Make them stop!

Yep, I started a thread about this yesterday. No response from MNHQ yet.

I’ve now blocked Mumsnet on my email account until it’s resolved.

Yep, same here. So many emails about AIBU polls, but unsubscribing doesn't stop it.

I like it. You can see which thread it is, so you can just ignore it if you’re not interested in reading the new posts on the thread.

‘I’m on’ gets too full, too quick, so I lose threads.

‘I’m watching’ helps a bit...

+1 I unsubscribed on the email but they keep coming and I can't find anywhere on the site to unsubscribe.

I won't bother voting on any aibu polls while this happens

I have always been unsubscribed from receiving any emails. Why has this suddenly started. It’s irritating, spammy and unprofessional of MNHQ.

Let me guess though. This is yet another little IT mistake.

Strange, I’m not getting any emails except on threads I am watching which I haven’t had for a while either. Wonder if I opted out without remembering!

Please stop them MNHQ! They’re so bloody irritating and I’m going to stop voting in order to stop them, so it’s a pointless waste of time for you.

That’s a bit presumptuous to send out emails we hadn’t sign up for! Just got one, unsubscribed and deleted. Not sure what’s the point in them. Not going to make me use the site more, rather less.

It's really bloody annoying. I did not opt in to these emails but I'm getting them anyway. It's making me not want to vote or even weigh in on a thread.

I’m getting them too. If they don’t stop I’ll be unsubscribing from all emails.

I have an email address only for mumsnet, I never check it as the volume of spam is ridiculous.

I have unsubscribed from every one I’ve had and I still get more, just about different threads!

I think it's just the AIBU. But it is annoying.

I think it's only the threads you've voted on in AIBU, isn't it?
