I am fed up everyday of logging on to troll posts. cant something be done to stop this

Instead of starting a thread Fio, I would email [email protected] and voice your concerns.

me too fio2. There should be a more thorough process of registering... I know that may make it inaccessible to some people but there should be more checks before we can register...

The post has been reported to MN and hopefully they will be checking up on it. Meanwhile I just wish people would stop inciting this poster to print even more dangerous rubbish. The more people respond the more rubbish this poster spouts.

It's very likely to be the same person as the first calpol threads. As has already been said, don't feed the trolls and they soon get bored.

On the positive side, see it as a measure of mumsnet's runaway success that people can be bothered to spend the effort trolling us

Can't moderators be given some kind of 'suspend' rights to at least get a thread out of view as it were until MN can look at it and decide whether to delete or not?

Agree just ignore the posts. Maybe we should have a code for troll posts e.g. :::::: or something so that newbies will realise it's suspect? I don't know the solution?

From 'his' last comment I'd say there's some kind of game going on - largest number of replies in a certain time frame.....! Call me cynical, but don't be surprised if a few more of these crop up...

ks, one of the lovely things about mn is that it's so open. I like the spontaneity and the fact that you can have a query answered so quickly, and would hate to see this as a completely moderated site simply because of a few suspect posters.

I think it does really well actually.
I've been here for well over a yera now and have only seen a few trolls.

I think it's usually stamped out pretty quickly and like mumsnet just as it it!

no i agree ks. And maybe if you want to change your name for whatever reason, you have to ask the team (or is that too boring?)
