I've just noticed that in fact I have 2 deletions on the same thread (the one about spreading the idea of gender identity).

Don't know if that is 2 strikes as I've only received 1 email. I can't remember what I said in the 2nd deleted post. I know I posted critically of the organization Mermaids in one of my posts so it may be for that.

Considering that the guidelines have only just changed I would really like a more helpful explanation for deletion than what I currently have which is "you broke the guidelines".

I would also like to know if tho deletions are strikes and if I'm likely to get suspended today if I post something critical of an ideology (transgenderism or otherwise).

Omg, why have I not thought of this before...

ACRONYM! Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/06/2018 15:08

You mean using 'ACRONYM' to replace the acronyms we are no longer able to use?

Excellent Grin

BeyondSceptical · 17/06/2018 15:27

Exactly! Grin

For anyone who missed it, it stands for
Actively Considering Reassignment Or Not Yet Madeyourmindup

(hopefully as it is a quote, this will not break guidelines...)

I'm all for it.

Genius!

BeyondSceptical · 17/06/2018 16:20

Hopefully if we say "Joan, an ACRONYM from london" (picked Joan as it is hopefully - no offence to any Joan's - a name that won't directly apply to someone) what sex "Joan" is should be clear from the context Wink

Any complaints there?

How absolutely DARE you! I am incredibly offended and am going to go and have a cry. I'll have you know that Joan are the MOST oppressed people of any group EVER and this hateful bigotry is exactly why! You are clearly JOANPHOBIC and I will be writing to your old first year teacher to tell them exactly what I think so they can know just how ASHAMED they should be for having once known you (kind of) many years ago! Shocked I am, SHOCKED.

Mumsnet it is about time you stopped allowing Joanphobes on this site, I will be writing to every single one of your friends and family to tell them how DISGUSTED I am that you tolerate it. SHAME ON YOU.

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/06/2018 17:11

Oh Joanie hun, ur so right. That is LITERAL VIOLENCE.

I have been TRIGGERED by the hate speech.

I feel your pain. I feel your pain EVEN MORE THAN YOU DO, Joanie hun, because IT COULD HAVE BEEN MEEEEEEEE

BeyondSceptical · 17/06/2018 17:12

I knew you would be along, the second I posted I wondered why 'joan' had popped into my head Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/06/2018 17:12

AND MY NAME'S NOT EVEN JOAN!!!!

I am shaking and crying, I am so upset at the phobes. I am TRIGGERED too! I am a Joan on a Monday and Thursday.

Bowlofbabelfish · 17/06/2018 17:35

The acronym thing reminds me of a joke:

Times New Roman, Calibri and Ariel walk into a bar. “Get out!” Yells the barman, “ we don’t serve your type in here!”

Sorry

BeyondSceptical · 17/06/2018 17:39

Hehe

Oo - Remind me later and I will change to BeyondTheJoanphobe Grin

Fairenuff · 17/06/2018 17:54

I can believe that Miranda's post was deleted. I can't remember what was said but I remember thinking 'that one will go' Grin

I've just woken the cat by laughing so loud at ex-Bob and Joan being triggered.

Cat wold like you to be humourless feminists please, so he can go safely back to sleep
(that would be his male entitlement showing through)

Netflixandchilli · 17/06/2018 18:22

Why does all trans discussion have to take place in the feminism topic area? Can Mumsnet put a separate subject area in place so that all identifying people can chat there? Given the extreme levels of sensitivity surely it would seem sensible to have a specific category?

JoanSummers · 17/06/2018 18:28

AND MY NAME'S NOT EVEN JOAN!!!!

A Joan is a person who identifies as a Joan. A Joan is a person who identifies as a Joan. A Joan is a person who identifies as a Joan. A Joan is a person who identifies as a Joan.

JoanSummers · 17/06/2018 18:34

I think we should be utterly silly about the names we use for the sex that must not be named. And mix it up a bit.

Sausages. Wieners. HotDogs. Chipolatas. Frankfurters.

If nothing else it will be fucking hilarious when Mumsnet adds that into their rules.

Thou shalt not call anyone of any sex a chipolata

BeyondSceptical · 17/06/2018 18:39

Watch out - frankfurter is a bit too close to the sweet transvestite!! 😂
