Plus the new layout only shows the time of the last post, not the last five or so posts that were made on the thread (so you can't tell at a glance whether it's moving fast, for example, or if someone has just posted onto an old old thread or a thread that had otherwise come to a natural conclusion)

It really is a change that no-one was asking for....

I wouldn't care if I was limited to 20 on TIO/TIW-as long as what I was posting on & trying to watch were actually showing up!!!

It really is pointless when you click onto one of the other & what you've posted on/"watched" isn't there!

So that's another thread that I've just posted on & isn't showing in either TIO/TIW.

What I've just realised is it's an AIBU thread & I've got nothing showing from there on TIO?TIW!!!

I have now moved chat & AIBU from excluded in active convos to included & my list of threada I'm on/watching is now fine.

Things I'd posted on in excluded topics used to appear on TIO & TIW but obviously now don't.

Problem seems to be solved for me!

As far as I'm aware I hadn't hidden anything & lo & behold there is AIBU under "excluded".

How did that happen?

I have only one thread hidden, no topics, yet lots of us don't seem to have www.mumsnet.com/Talk/further_education/2932214-Parents-of-Year-12s-exam-time-again-oh-no?watched=1&msgid=71265727#71265727 on our TIO even though we've been posting today. Desktop site, on all machines.
Fortunately we are coming to the end of the thread. I hope our new one works ok.

Forgot to say, I've tried to add that thread to watching and it won't add.

We used to be able to have threads in TIO/TIW even with topics hidden. I know HQ isn't bothered about long term posters but this is quite a big thing in the way I use the site. I don't want every topic in active but do dip into other topics occasionally and may be on long threads from them.

ok - I started a new thread in Further Education. I can't see it in TIS, watching or TIO.
I started a thread in site stuff, I can see it in all three places. I defininitely haven't hidden FE.

So sorry for everyone still having problems. Thankfully, mine all resolved. But is it just me or since these tech probs, the mobile site (not app) is painfully slow now??

'Watched' threads etc dont appear until you scroll down past all the adverts at the side of the site and are all scrunched up to one side.
But threads you click on come up normally.

So, 'threads I started' doesn't show anything that isn't recent anymore? Is it not possible to list an amount, rather than have them time limited? I hardly ever start a thread, but I'd like access to read back the ones I have started... any chance of changing this? (I imagine others who have started emotionally significant threads also like to look back on them and know they are 'safe').

None of the threads I am on in Employment are showing on Threads I'm On, although AIBU/other ones are. So tiresome.

I post in Mumsnetters with SN sometimes, just did in fact, and it's not showing up in Threads I'm On. Weird. I still get emails when someone's posted on that thread though, which I suppose is useful in that situation.

But Daniel, hidden topics WEREN'T excluded from TIO before. They honestly, definitely, 100% weren't. Hidden threads have been for a long time, but never hidden topics.

Plus, as mentioned, some topics - MNers with SN, and OTBT being the ones I am aware of, these cannot be unhidden to appear in Active which means that they also won't appear in TIO.

I don't like getting loads of emails so I'm not signed up to email alerts which means that I now can't follow that support thread at all which given it's a support thread for ADHD is rather ironic because it means I'm extremely unlikely to remember to go and check the section!

Lastly, if I'm going to have to unhide all my hidden topics from Active are there any plans for another way to view reduced topic versions of active, like letting users pick a list of "Favourite topics" to just view active threads from those specifically?

I still can't get it to remember that I've posted and watching a Radio Addicts thread. Is anyone looking at this?

Have you actually physically checked the settings? I only ask because I was certain that I hadn't hidden feminism, but it was in my hidden list.
