Can we have a topic where name changing is not allowed?

Lots of people feel the 'atmosphere' has been somewhat lost, due to MN becoming so big and so many people name changing for dubious reasons.

So how about a new topic where name changing is not allowed?

So to post in that section, you choose a different name (much like in Mumsnet local). But you have to stick to that name only.

That way, in that section at least, there would be less arses/goady fuckers/Billy bullshitters and drama llamas, hiding behind name changes.

People will become 'regulars' again (in that section at least) and when you go there to chat, you'll at least 'recognise' other people.

OK I'm sure there are 1 million reasons why this is a stupid idea/impossible to set up, but can anyone think of them? Grin

Sparkers I'm watching the Beckham show, not really sure what the point is😉 other than keep Becks' profile in the media.

Seems a pleasant chap but he's no Narrator, bless him.

OddSocksHighHeels · 29/12/2015 21:43

Never! I didn't know it existed!

Chip shop gravy but hard to find the decent stuff in London. A lot of chip shops don't do gravy at all Shock but I have a good one nearby.

DramaAlpaca · 29/12/2015 21:44

It's a big yes from me to the OP.

KFC do very good gravy. DS works there & I have a freezer full of leftovers Grin

OddSocksHighHeels · 29/12/2015 21:44

I must be on MN Classic. I have pages.

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2015 21:44

They never lived together apparently MrsV. Very sad. Almost as sad as Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter. Sad

I would rather watch back episodes of Takeshi's Castle than sport really. It's nearly sport.Grin

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 29/12/2015 21:44

KFC, last time we had it, it tasted different, not as spicy.

Was disappointed

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 21:46

Its all a bit odd, isn't it, Sparks ?

Ellie is another funny one. I reckon she's waiting for a Prince. Ahem.

Christinayangstwistedsista · 29/12/2015 21:46

In the name of all that is holy, a chip shop that doesn't do gravy?

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2015 21:46

YY Still it needs a proper voiceover. Where's Stephen Mangan/Rob Brydon when you need them?

SconeInSixtySeconds · 29/12/2015 21:47

odd it's pretty tricky finding it in the more genteel tourist hotspot areas of the West Midlands.

Do you know what I really miss from my years up North?

Pineapple Fritters.

You can convince yourself it's practically a health food - but it's much too tasty for that. Pure, unadulterated, delicious filth.

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 21:47

I am drinking a mahoosive hot chocolate with squirty cream and baby marshmallows.

DD made it and she's very enthusiastic about the cream & mallows.

I expect I'll be sick in the night.

YY MrsV. All v odd. Perhaps she can get back together with Greg James.

Christinayangstwistedsista · 29/12/2015 21:50

I'm thinking that ' healthy eating' will not be the subject of this new topic....

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2015 21:50

Scone I grew up in the Birmingham 'burbs and Dad always bought banana and pineapple fritters from the chinese takeaway.

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 21:50

I'm south east and my old chip shop used to do pineapple fritters. Lovely things.

I might have to stroll through town and see if anywhere does do them anymore. With whippy ice cream.

I used to adore Rum ba-bas. And banana splits.

EduCated · 29/12/2015 21:50

I have had gravy in chips in Cardiff. The only Chippy round here that did it has turned into a bastarding Dominos Angry

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 21:51

I reckon she's after 'Arry, Sparks. Wink

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 21:52

Healthy eating ? Sod that. You're a long time dead.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 29/12/2015 21:52

Chips in gravy was my staple school lunch when I was at school back in the day, when I ate lunch.

I used to save up my dinner money and go out on the lash at weekends, 35p for half a lager back in the day.

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 21:53

Oooh, I wont be sick, I have spearmint rennies.

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2015 21:53

That would never be allowed surely MrsV? Shock

Christinayangstwistedsista · 29/12/2015 21:53
