More than ever I feel the need for this. Is the HQ position still the same?

What about another colour option.

One for those you have chatted too and would want to read their posts.

Another for those you really don't want to see air their opinions.

A third for ones you aren't fussed about, haven't come across yet.

Raxacoricofallapatorius · 20/12/2015 17:30

It's only been a few weeks since the last thread. Was definitely still a no then.

TiggyD · 20/12/2015 17:34

No. Terrible idea.

SoupDragon · 20/12/2015 17:36

I just add names to my mental list of posters not to engage with and leave them to it. Funnily enough, I've just added one. It works well for me.

Raxacoricofallapatorius · 20/12/2015 17:45

Me too. Just like in rl. I either attack the sentiment or choose not to engage. It's the mature way to do it. Sadly.

SagaNorenLanskrimMalmo · 20/12/2015 17:45

Was that a pointed remark, Soup? Grin

The coloured posts option would be good. I need a metaphorical weapon, something to HIT someone with when I get really hacked off with them, that they don't have to know about. Like blocking someone's number when they are a nuisance.

Maybe I'm just hormonal.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 20/12/2015 17:46

no, it was an honest one.

SagaNorenLanskrimMalmo · 20/12/2015 17:46

and I don't have space in my head for a virtual list. I wish I did but it wouldn't work. I cant remember anyone's name any more.

Just silently pity their iniquitous existence. Delight in the choice not to slither down the food chain to join them. And mutter bad swears.

My mantra on MN is that I will not enter into a battle of wits with the unarmed. It's most useful.

B33rTricksPott3r · 20/12/2015 17:49

There's an outside patch thing you can apply to MN. I forget who linked it but maybe the poster will see it and link it again for you.

SagaNorenLanskrimMalmo · 20/12/2015 17:50

Oh I hope so

thanks for the tips.

I think the ability to be able to colour other posters' posts (as well as your own and the OP's) is worth looking at.

Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2015 17:56

I had a list in my head but it got too big. Sad Now I either don't post if they are the OP or if they appear I disappear.

I find I recognise them with some part of my brain and an advanced search usually reminds me why.

I think physically hiding a poster is childish I guess. I go for turning the other cheek no, not THOSE other cheeks.

I play the "which PBP are you?" game myself. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2015 18:21

I do that Saga Grin

SoupDragon · 20/12/2015 18:22

I play "spot the OP who isn't a troll" game. It's getting FAR trickier nowadays.

(And no, this isn't a pointed post in case I need to point that out :))

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 20/12/2015 18:25

Sparkling! Totally OT but have you started your SOM thread yet?
