Cleaning up the royal threads

trufflesnout · 02/05/2015 11:30

Would it be possible to move all the royal threads into the royal section? And then put a banner up telling people to go to the royal section. There are currently at least 4 threads going just in _chat.

I agree.

The Royal Family is a bit of a tumbleweed topic, though, other than for the really ardent royalists.

(for those who might want to post in the topic)

Theknacktoflying · 02/05/2015 11:34

There is a hide button.

The same can be said for all the political threads.

WorraLiberty · 02/05/2015 11:35

Nowhere near as bad as all the political threads.

Is there an election topic?

If so they need a huge clean up.

trufflesnout · 02/05/2015 11:40

True, there are a lot of political threads, but having them moved to a newly created political board is a different issue. We already have a royal board which was meant to stop the duplicates of royal threads everywhere following the wedding and the first birth.

Sorry, we do already have a 'politics' board. But still, cleaning those up is an entirely different thing. I'm talking about royal threads.

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 02/05/2015 11:42

Yes, why the fuck aren't they in the tedious royals section?

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 02/05/2015 11:43

At least the election is of national importance.

PinkSquash · 02/05/2015 11:43

YY to moving things into the correct topics. Why does everyone need to start a new thread on the RoyalBaby/Election/Cleaning in the wrong place.

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 02/05/2015 11:43

For traffic

PinkSquash · 02/05/2015 11:44

I will do the thread moving lark if MN give me the right privileges.

SanityClause · 02/05/2015 11:44

I so agree with this. And its on bloody DOTD.

And yes, I do hide them. but its like painting the Forth Bridge.

mammuzzamia · 02/05/2015 11:45

Yes, I agree.

TheCrimsonQueen · 02/05/2015 11:46

Agree. I am just going hide every royal baby thread that comes up. So tedious.

mammuzzamia · 02/05/2015 11:47

"At least the election is of national importance."

Oh yes! And please MN, do not give into requests for a pink crown smiley

trufflesnout · 02/05/2015 11:47

At least the election is of national importance.

Yy that is one marked difference.

meditrina · 02/05/2015 11:49

Are threads actually selected to go into that (newish) In The News box?

Or is it just a case of most recently created threads automatically go in there?

magimedi · 02/05/2015 12:20

If you hide a thread, how do you unhide it if you later decide you want to see it?

magimedi · 02/05/2015 12:22

I've just figured it out!!

trufflesnout · 02/05/2015 12:32

I think they must be selected to make it into those boxes, because someone has had to re-title the threads and sometimes give them a little subtitle.

OP posts:
BadgersArse · 02/05/2015 12:33

lifts OP up onto shoulders and parades her around as National hero

Samcro · 02/05/2015 12:35

why?
the same could be same for a lot of threads

JoanHickson · 02/05/2015 12:38

A pink crown is a bit much.

BadgersArse · 02/05/2015 12:40

PINK crown as well. DOUBLE WRONG POINTS #pinkstinks

iklboo · 02/05/2015 12:51

You can't hide on the phone app. Angry
