Why does MN keep freezing?

I'm accessing MN from a laptop using Chrome browser. For the last couple of days MN is being very slow to upload threads with lots of messages and keeps freezing after I've clicked on a few threads (no response to any mouse clicks except to close the page). I've guessed that MN have been spying on how much I've been time wasting when I should be working on the boards and have decided to help me by freezing things after so many minutes but please - how do I stop this! I need to feed my MN addiction!

Just checked - my browser is up to date. Have only had one instance of total freeze in the last few days but long threads are still taking quite a while to load ( and they never used to!)

Spoke too soon - It has frozen on me another 3 times this morning!

I still can't get on using Firefox & get the "not redirecting properly" message.

Am currently using Opera.

Something odd though, can't post on the Poldark thread in telly addicts!

This is driving me NUTS! Mumsnet keeps freezing ;-( Please Please sort it out. I am using Safari on Ipad.

Happening to me to when using internet explorer on laptop with full site...

Firefox for me, (fully upto date version) and MN is freezing after a few minutes browsing, been going on for about three weeks. :(

Updated everything, removed everything - you name it I've done it, but it just starts doing it again after a few minutes - script error and Flash crash are the most common messages for me.

For what it's worth MNHQ, it started around the same time that the Storymakers.com advert started appearing, and the annoying purple "web chat" banners.

Froze again for me this morning. (I imposed a MN ban on myself yesterday in an attempt to Get Things Done so it was probably fine then!)

It's not freezing for me, but it takes AGES to load a new page.
