Blasted purple pop-up AGAIN!

ZombieApocalypse · 06/01/2015 09:55

I click on the x to close it, then whenever I navigate back to Active it pops up again. This seems to happen every time there's a purple pop-up.

Any chance if it being fixed properly and not having to create a thread about it every time? Thank you!

Sorry OP, nearly missed this in active thanks to the MASSIVE PURPLE POP-UP!

LuisSuarezTeeth · 06/01/2015 23:26

I just can't help seeing the potential smuttiness of Purple Pop-Up.

I'm so sorry Grin

FruChristerOla · 07/01/2015 15:46

I am at the end of my EFFING TETHER with that EFFING PURPLE POP-UP. Even if you're logged in and click on the EFFING cross it still EFFING comes back ..... time and time again.

Look, MNHQ, you have already 'stickied' the thread in various areas of the website - stop driving us all EFFING MAD.

Allalonenow · 07/01/2015 16:00

Just be grateful that the ghastly pictures of the children covered in pasta sauce have gone.

IHeartKingThistle · 07/01/2015 16:02

Chrome. Please, make it stop!

FruChristerOla · 07/01/2015 16:10

Two devices - used at different times.

  1. desktop iMac and Firefox
  2. iPad Mini3 and Safari

Logged in/not logged in, it makes no difference.

And, yes, Kate the 'pill' I could take might have to be a large Wine

fuzzpig · 07/01/2015 16:16

I'm so glad it's not just me who thought this was a euphemism.

You'll be pleased to know, MNHQ, that I personally am having no problems with any purple pop-up DH is at work, you see

Chrome - pops up again every time you click on Active - very annoying!

hairymuffet · 07/01/2015 22:56

How do I get rid of this purple highlight ??

CanadianJohn · 08/01/2015 05:25

Happening to me too, desktop and IE 10.

Homebird8 · 08/01/2015 05:46

Safari on the ipad

PositiveAttitude · 08/01/2015 06:30

Me too, on Chrome.

Littlefish · 08/01/2015 06:34

Me too.

Laptop running Internet Explorer (not sure which version).

Once I've clicked on the cross, I want it to be gone forever!

MythicalKings · 08/01/2015 06:37

Me too. IE.

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 08/01/2015 06:39

The kids in pasta sauce made me feel sick so I started only accessing the mobile site at that point. Do that, go straight to Talk and you don't get pictures or pop ups.

HTH

chemenger · 08/01/2015 08:02

Desktop pc with Firefox and iPad with Safari both have the pop-up problem. Please make it go away (forever, preferably).

linalool · 08/01/2015 09:49

Still happening on Safari.

MasqueradeWaltzer · 08/01/2015 11:58

KateSMumsnet · 08/01/2015 14:17

Easy now - it should have been vanquished now. Do yell if it persists.

Enormouse · 08/01/2015 14:21

I'm still getting it. I'm using silk on kindle fire.
